We had a booking in May 2025 for a Saturday night. Arrived after reception had closed, so picked up the keys from next door (Best Western I think it was). Got up to room and it had not been cleaned from previous people. When I rang the after hours number, was told there was nothing they could do, and they would refund the money. Not helpful when it was 6pm on a Saturday night. And to top it all off we had to pay to get out of the carpark- which I was told I would be refunded for, but that has not happened.

Perfect location, situated between Drummond and Lygon Streets in the heart of Carlton, Vic. The apartments are an older style complex. We upgraded to the apartment that had a refurbished kitchen and living area. It had all the amenities required for a weeks stay, self contained. There is a Woolworths within close walking distance to get your groceries and plenty of restaurants all within walking distance. It could do with a little love and few touches to spruce it up. But overall it was affordable, clean and a great location to city and public transportation.

Staying there has been pot luck these past few years. A few months ago, we got a renovated suite on the 3rd floor which was fine. Last week, we got apt 2 on the first floor, unrenovated and crappy - kitchenette cupboards doors threatening to fall off and cockroaches. 275 A$ a night! Avoid!

You have to pay extra for internet. Carpet needed replacing 10 years ago. Fly screens broken or non existent. Maintenance is among the worst I have seen. Many windows screwed so they cannot be opened. Uncomfortable furniture.
