Gooderson Monks Cowl Golf Resort

Our first stay at Gooderson's Monks Cowl, and we were impressed from arrival. Dinner, Bed and Breakfast was true value for money, and service was outstanding. The hotel is well placed in the champagne valley for all activities. Definitely recommended.

I came to the Berg to enjoy a school reunion. It was so lovely to feel like I hadn't ever left! The staff were friendly and courteous, making sure my trip felt peaceful. The rooms are spotless. There is no noise in the area. My whole nervous system felt at rest :)

The resort is prestigious in its own way with peace and tranquility. We stayed at the hotel and was very clean and neat. The showers were pretty slow, so if you had to wash your hair it will take a longer time to rinse out. The food at the restaurant was very good. They had something for everyone to eat. The cellphone reception was very poor which meant we weren't able to check on our emails timeously for work or make phone calls unless we were out of the resort. They did have WIFI available which was chargeable. In my opinion, with the poor cell reception WIFI should be available at no charge. The resort itself is beautiful and child friendly. There is a dam nearby the rooms. The golf course is neat and looks very serene. All in all, we had an amazing time here and would definitely return.

Enjoyed the quiet and peaceful setting of the resort. The room was clean and having an area to sit outside overlooking the golf course was an unexpected treat.

We had a fabulous time with our young boys and their grandparents. Something to do for everyone here, set in a beautiful location with friendly, helpful staff.

The resort is very comfortable. The restaurant is great and the food is super. Pizzas are excellent. Chalet is not cleaned properly and little garden not maintened at all. Outside area is very dirty. Walls and chairs. Amenities are good. I would not stay in self catering again rather hotel room
