Caye Caulker Beach Hotel

Tiny room. No table or chairs. Broken TV. Did not have ocean view I ordered. No place for our suitcases. Mine stayed on my bed. No closet. Bed stands had one drawer. There were two small wall mounted drawers. No dresser or other storage. Overhead lighting only. Had to climb 3 sets of very steep stairs to get to room which was very difficult for me as I have arthritic knees. Must climb to 4th floor to boil water or heat food. No cups, plates or other dinnerware. Room was rated for four people but the two of us tripped over each other. Manager not at all responsive to complaints. I could continue but why bother? Why this place gets good reviews I'll never understand.

The Caye Caulker Beach Hotel is a budget-friendly place to stay. Having a room with the small balcony would be best. Pros: Well maintained building Clean Roof top patio Centrally located Convenience store located on ground floor Cons: Single room very small (bed, fridge, shelf & tv. no window nor balcony) Not mobility friendly (50 steps to the 4th floor) English is second language for staff so communication awkward at times. It is a decent, inexpensive place to stay just don't expect any frills.

Near the Sea and Ferry Perfect for one night or two with fast check-in at shop under Hotel. Good quality, clean and really close to ferry arrivals and restaurants! Top roof-top!
