This is a very beautiful resort in a quiet and perfectly manicured area on the northern side of the island. We were welcomed with a complimentary drink and got a great rundown on all amenities. The resort is absolutely perfect and lots of groundskeepers worked constantly keeping it up. Our cabin was amazing. There are 2 pools. There is a complimentary boat to get you around or you can take a short ride at the split for $2 to $5. The on-site restaurant was incredible and has some of the best food on Caye Caulker. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming.

“After a conference in Belize, we went to unwind in Caye Caulker. Ben’s Cabanas are a perfect place to disconnect. We loved the traditional construction of the rooms, which makes it very different from modern hotels. We were able to rent bikes and explore the area, kayaked all around, and the resort’s boat transfer service was very convenient. A wonderful experience.”

Great location away from the busy side of Caye Caulker. Water taxi is available to cross over at set times. The room was great and very comfortable. Restaurant on site could do with better service as it was slow and more choice for vegetarians. The room was only cleaned once when we were there as you have to request it being cleaned which is not something they told us at check in.

This was by far the best place we stayed in all of Belize. It's on the North island away from the bars, noise and people, but close enough by the complimentary water taxi from the hotel that you get the best of both worlds. The room was clean and had very comfortable beds and pillows. We ate at the restaurant multiple times with great success on everything we chose. The seafood bisque was particularly wonderful. The front desk staff were super helpful in getting tours and taxis booked and gave great advice on options for how to spend the day. They were by far the most friendly, accurate, well informed hotel staff of our 4 different hotels. We will come back here if we ever make it to Belize again for sure. Thank you El Ben for the perfect ending to a great vacation.

The place is beautiful but the restaurant has not one single vegetarian option in their menu and they were unwilling to accommodate… with very few restaurant options in the northern island this is a problem… I would not recommend this place to anyone with dietary restrictions.

exactly what we were hoping for for a romantic island natural getaway. We had our own cabana with beautifully designed Palm roofing, wooden floors, huge shower, and ocean view. While this stay is on the other side of the split, it was easy to get across because the resort had a private boat that runs every hour you can take back and forth. You can also buy a punchcard from split to split ferry to go back-and-forth between the two islands (a one minute ferry ride) and El Ben staff will pick you up in a golf cart to take you to the resort (5min ride) They have bikes to rent for $10 USD and free kayak and paddleboard rentals. The staff was so incredible and so helpful and great at communicating. Our room had a fridge and stuff to make coffee or tea. there were two pools and the food was delicious. You can also go and visit other resorts on the island. This place was gorgeous and we highly recommend.

My wife and I and 2 children less then 2yrs old stayed here and was fantastic. They had a cab waiting for us at the airport with our name and painless. Extremely nice resort with lots of +’s like golf kart rides to/from split boat transport to/from south side. If you need lots of frequent rides would be best to rent a golf kart. Rooms were nice and entire facility was clean and lots of workers keeping it that way on the daily. Sure was a beautiful trip. Would recommend taking the small airplane vs the water taxi IMO.

We just returned after spending the weekend at the resort. Absolutely amazing experience. We went with our kids. They loved it. All the reviews talked about the food. Amazing! (I would go back for just the food.) Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Favorite part was walking on the dock looking for sea life. The resort kept the mangroves in front of the property. Which acts like a magnet to wildlife and acts as protection to the environment. We have been going to Belize for the last 15+ years. The resort had an untouched Belize feel to it. Like the beginning of a good book or movie, you want to experience.
