There's some nice things about it — the location is pretty, the restaurant is quite good, and the building is well maintained. But there's a couple aspects that really feel shoddy. The "continental breakfast" is just terrible — awful packaged croissants and other cheap packaged stuff — the pillows are terrible, and the hotel staff were consistently unhelpful when we did normal things like tell them there was a power outage in the carriage house and ask if we could get a cup of coffee.

We enjoyed Brester Inn's preserved style from early 1900's. Hotel's surrounding area was gorgeous including the lake side as well as beautiful parklike walkways. Rooms were large and very clean. Our room was cleaned very day. Morning breakfast included many different selections. Hotel's staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant and bar was very good. The only one thing we would ask for would be softer bed pillows. The pillows we had were very hard and too thick for comfortable sleep.
We would recomment Brewster Inn to our friends.

Excellent
Bathroom was a little cramped and did not care for the sliding barn door which really didn't close, but other than that everything was great. Staff was friendly and very accommodating, restaurant was excellent. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful secret in Upstate NY
Just beautiful location. We actually stayed in the guest house. Our room had 20plus feet ceilings. The outdoor restaurant and bar is great. The pork chop special was to die for. We definitely want to come back.

An spectacular boutique hotel with an amazing restaurant right on the lake. Everyone is super attentive, our server at the restaurant was Amy, she really made our experience here outstanding.

Totally lovely place. We really enjoyed our weekend. Amazing location, and the charm of an old inn. As far as food, service, hotel staff, and our room, everything was good, but not amazing. My biggest disappointment is Room 24 is advertised as handicap accessible, but my mom was not able to take a shower the whole weekend she was there, because the tub is not accessible. It is a good two to three foot step-in.
