Great location by the train station or rather opposite jinbang park nearby. Loads of cheap eats all around. Metro and brt are nearby.

Extremely decent gym for the price with a multi function cable machine benches and some light dumbbells plus the usual cardio machines. 
Sitting area on 2nd floor with free coffee and lemonade.
Room had great views and was spacious enough. All in all the hotel is punching above its weight.

Upon arriving at the South Gate on my first day, after taking Metro Line 1 to Zhongshan Park, I encountered some traffic control barriers. However, the security guard was incredibly helpful; after a brief inquiry, they not only granted me access but also promptly arranged for an electric cart to pick me up. I was extremely satisfied with this service! The hotel rooms were spotless and well-equipped. The front desk staff were patient and thorough, the restaurant service was attentive, and floor housekeeping was incredibly responsive. The hotel's garden-like setting is perfect for a leisurely stroll or some exercise.

Positive: The hotel is spacious, though it’s starting to show signs of age. Nonetheless, it is well-maintained and clean. The room was large and comfortable, with the staff ensuring it remained tidy throughout our stay. Its location, about 20-30 minutes from central Xiamen, makes it convenient for accessing various parts of the city. The hotel offers two large swimming pools, and the locker rooms are equipped with both dry and wet saunas. The staff were generally friendly.

Negative: The exterior pool area lacks sufficient seating, making it difficult to relax by the pool, which is a significant drawback if you’re there for a vacation. The hotel’s considerable size is a downside, with only one central set of elevators, leading to long and tiresome walks down the corridors. Moreover, there are no power outlets on one side of the bed, nor are there any USB outlets. The area surrounding the hotel is rather dull, with little to offer beyond a shopping mall, a wharf, and a small stretch of beach.

General: While we had a comfortable stay, this hotel is not ideal for a vacation. It’s recommended only if you specifically need to be in that location.

From arrival, the hotel impressed me with its beautiful surroundings, lush greenery, and excellent facilities. Guest Service Manager Veronica was exceptionally welcoming—she showed us the stunning 70,000 sqm garden and even provided food to feed the swans, peacocks, and other wildlife, making our stay truly special.  
The staff were consistently friendly—front desk and concierge always greeted us with warm smiles, enhancing the welcoming atmosphere.  
The combination of breathtaking scenery, modern amenities, and outstanding service made this a perfect stay. Highly recommended!

Very convenient location just next to the station - jianye metro station. I love that I could just take a stroll up the mountain that was just opposite the hotel too! They had nice welcoming snacks too while I waited for my room to be ready.

Great place with nice garden, indoor pool and bath in almost every room. Xiaoming and Xiao Yu, the Lobby Manager were very helpful to accommodate our requests.

Overall it is good, the front desk service is very enthusiastic; someone opens the door in the lobby; someone will guide the parking lot when there are many cars; the room is spacious and quiet, the cleanliness and hygiene are in place, and it is also quiet; the auntie comes to clean every day, prepares the supplies and snacks; the breakfast is also OK, there are not many varieties of Western breakfast. The bathroom and toilet are separated 👍, there is plenty of hot water, and the water pressure is also stable. There is a self-service laundry room on the first floor. I would like to make a suggestion, whether it is possible to install screens. This time, on the first day of arrival, I looked at the window for ventilation, and mosquitoes came in. I fought with it for 500 rounds at night and finally won ✌️

The dishes in the Chinese restaurant are worthy of praise both in terms of plating and taste. The hotel service is also very good. The lobby manager Xiao Wu is warm and thoughtful, and flexibly arranges what is needed. The front desk service is also very good, and the check-in is quick. Check-out is professional and does not require room inspection. I will choose it again in the future, live in Yuehua, and sleep in Wuyi Mountain Water.
