It’s loved for it’s true Vermont nature - Rustic, calming, cozy and comfortable:)Centrally located between 4 of Vermont’s best ski mountains. Its only 3 min to our favorite coffee and breakfast spot, and 10 min to a BIG grocery store, butcher shop, hardware store, & health food store…Yep, you found a good one!!The Run-in has been the subject of TV and magazine features and a few well known brands! It’s a winner with it's lovely views! It’s exactly as described: “a former horse run-in shed converted lovingly by hand into a rustic romantic cabin.”The super cozy space has a loft bed under slanted eaves, a wood-fired stove and curated with vintage appliances. The Run-In is the perfect retreat for a DIY, un-fussy getaway. What’s better than falling asleep in the trees and waking up to a view of the mist rising off our endless rolling green hills OR even better, a fresh layer of pow!!! We have almost 100 acres for you to roam!! You are welcome to explore our beautiful fields and paths and we really hope you do! In the summer you have a private outdoor shower. In the winter you have a regular indoor bathroom with a new shower. The private hot tub can be use all year round.You have a very nice new deck area out front of the cabin for grilling and watching the sun set over the mountains. Keep in mind we have a lot of wildlife in our area so keep your voices down and you might see moose, deer, coyote, and a ton of cool birds. That being said, keep your food inside and use the bear proof dumpster for your trash. They don't come to bother you but they do come looking for scraps! AROUND TOWN...Londonderry is Manchester’s cute kid sister, with rustic shops and quintessential Vermonters. We have an awesome record store, ski shop and great grocery store and butcher shop! Don’t miss Bromley Market, where you can grab gourmet sandwiches on housemade biscuits as big as a dinner plate and stock up on local Artisanal goodies. The Corner is great for coffee and quick breakfast on the go!Taylor Farm is a town icon, it’s goods like cheese and ice cream are as local as it gets— the dairy is from the cows munching beside the farm shop. Swing by in the evenings and you’re likely to join a jam session with Farmer John, the proprietor who in winter offers magical horse drawn sleigh rides with hot apple cider, and a bonfire.Stove & Wood: If you wish to use our beautiful wood burning stove we do ask you bring a stack of dry KINDLING and starter sticks! We supply all the logs you will ever need, but our wood is usually off the property and tends to be green. You are welcome to as much of it as you want, but you will have a hard time lighting it if you don’t bring a bundle of dry kindling from home! We have a torch for lighting the stove so don’t go crazy looking for matches…We don’t have em!If you forget to pick up kindling our local grocery store and hardware store have stacks waiting for you and duraflame products, but keep in mind they do close early!! The wood is located up the little steps outside behind the wooden door. Don’t light a large fire or you won’t get much sleep in that loft! Heat rises. Also, keep the top loading door cracked a few inches to get the fire going. Be sure the stove is closed tight and let the fire burn out before bedtime. NEVER REMOVE A LIT LOG FROM INSIDE THE WOOD STOVE. Just let it burn out. IT’S IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT and WHAT’S EXPECTED OF YOU…Cleanings:Our cleaning and linen fee is there to allow our cleaning lady to fully disinfect, clean, do laundry, fold linens and get the bathrooms and kitchen to sparkle. We charge just a bit more these years for all the changes we have experienced from Covid, property tax hikes and STR taxes. Hope you understand. The property is on an easily accessible private road. There is plenty of parking and can also accommodate a snowmobile trailer setup. Access the VAST right from the house and ride to restaurants/bars or head out to Somerset Reservoir.Mount Snow is only a few minutes away for winter sports or golfing and many other events in the summer.Bed sheets, pillow cases & bath towels are NOT provided. Renters have to bring their own. We do have comforters & pillows there. The space:This is a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath chalet with a loft (above the dining room) and there is a “tv room” addition. One bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has two bunk beds (full/twin - twin/twin setup). The loft has two twin beds. In the addition, there is a pull out sleeper style couch. The living room has two futons for additional sleeping(full size). The kitchen is fully equipped & has an island and stools. There is also a dining area with a table for 5. There is one Smart TV in the addition, but we do not have cable. We do have wifi. There is a tv in the queen bedroom that is not a smart tv (we do have a dvd player or you can bring your own amazon fire stick or something like that to try and plug in. Same with the small tv by the lamp that is in the other living area by the kitchen) Other things to note:We have no real driveway. Just park anywhere in the front yard. There is plenty of parking even for snowmobile trailer setups. If you end up staying during a snow storm, you might be asked to move vehicles to allow our plow company to move snow. A loft is accessible with a ladder from that bathroom and has a single bed A second bathroom is available upstairs.You can fit up to 8 people. Dog friendly up to 2 dogs max per stay. The dog fee is $ 125/per stay.Dogs still need to behave and if any damage is reported after , the guest will be accountable for the repairs or furniture replacement. An outdoor motion sensor camera is active for your own security, it points out to the entrance and driveway.Jacuzzi facts and best practices:The water is tested for its PH and cleaned between each guest by professionals, which could be done twice a week during the busy season.No guests are allowed to add any chemicals of any sort to the jacuzzi or it will change the right balance of the water and may turn it into a darker color.The water in the Mount snow village comes from 2 wells tested regularly by the Vermont water authority and has a high level of metal which is totally safe but sometimes can result in cloudy or GREEN water in the Jacuzzi.CLOUDY WATER DOESN'T MEAN DIRTY WATER!Each guest is expected to shower prior to using the tub. Body sweat, deodorant, or alcohol drops in the Jacuzzi will have consequences on the quality of the water.Professionals always recommend a maximum of 20 min experience in the water when the temperature is above 100 degrees.Do not leave the spray jets on after leaving the tub.Consuming alcohol while in the Jacuzzi is highly not recommended.No glass bottles, nor glassware nearby the edge of the tub are allowed. If we found broken glasses in the tub or nearby the tub, that would be considered a severe breach of contract compromising the return of the deposit.The jacuzzi has no steps to go down so please be careful.We recommend that no kids under 7 should be in the water without any adult supervision.Certainly, no kids of any age who do not know how to swim should be left alone with no adult supervision.The Jacuzzi is not a swimming pool, so staying longer than 20 mins in + 100 degrees warm water is not recommended by health professionals.The Jacuzzi is not a bathtub to wash your hair or body, any shampoo, conditioner, or body wash will compromise severely the water quality.Stepping on the soft cover is not allowed.
