We recently stayed at the Edwin to move our daughter into college at nearby UTC. We loved the artsy vibe of this hotel. Our suite had a working record player and a stack of LPs, plus books on Chattanooga history, art, travel and I LOVED those little touches. The rooms are well appointed (especially the suites - they are very nice) and the location was perfect for our visit. Don't miss the rooftop bar "Whiskey Thief" (21+) - amazing views and a fun, clubby vibe up there. They have a spa, fitness center and room service, but we didn't use those PROS: Location - Riverfront Chattanooga - walkable to restaraunts, live music, etc. Friendly, helpful staff (Kayla at the front desk was delightful) Clean, beautiful appointed spaces with fun decor Comfortable beds with plush linens and plenty of pillows Valet service was great and easy Perks for Marriott members like drinks that aren't offered on regular menu Mini fridge in room that was empty (we had leftovers and drinks we wanted to store) CONS: Expensive - this is a luxury boutique hotel and therefore pricey, but worth a splurge Road Noise - This hotel is next to a highway so there is some road noise - I travel with a sound machine so it wasn't a problem for us In room coffee - weak and terrible, as is most in-room coffee in almost every hotel I have visitied (!) I wish more hotels would invest a little to improve this, but the coffee from the cafe in the lobby was decent. Overall, The Edwin is a welcome addition to the Marriott portfolio, and a hotel I would recommend.
