Lofts du Village

Wow. What a great hotel choice. The loft room was immaculate. Cozy bed. Modern washroom with luxurious rain shower. The location could not be better with a short walk to a fantastic bakery and popular pub. Easy check in with gracious prompt service. Easy parking. And so quiet!

Definitely recommend if you are visiting Gatineau Park, Nordik Spa or just want to wander around Chelsea which is full of cute bars and restaurants. We were upgraded to a Loft on the second floor which was huge and very comfortable. It is fully equipped with everything you need. Also walking distance to everything. Loved it! Parking was easy and you check in at the little gift shop around the corner next to the Pub.

We went to the Lofts for a family vacation and loved the atmosphere and the village. The room was clean when we arrived and the Murphy bed was very useful. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, walking trails and a ski mountain. Thanks to Emmanuelle for her excellent service!

I’m very sorry to report that we have had the most disappointing stay at the Lofts du Village. We had just spent a lovely day at the spa in the package deal we booked for $400. I informed guest services when I made the reservation back in mid-December that we would be arriving to check in probably closer to 10pm, and was informed that late check in information would be sent to me. My phone was in my locker all day at the spa and when we were getting ready to leave, I had two missed calls, one voice mail and one email with late check in details. Had I known that we would have to walk a block and a half, late at night, in the cold to get our key card from a box on the front step of a store; I would have made arrangements to have an earlier check in but the late-check in instructions weren’t sent to me until the evening of. And by the time I read the email and checked my voicemail, reception was already closed (after 8pm). We had spent the day relaxing, getting massages, and we were beyond excited to end our vacation day with a luxurious evening at your hotel, even though we had to do a bit of exercise, we were happy that it was very mild for February. We arrived to our room (room 101) and we had been there not even 15 minutes and we were already incredibly disappointed and disheartened. Upon arriving, we were met with a wall of hot, humid air in the room. The heater was set to 25 degrees Celsius and the bathroom floors were set to 31.5. It was beyond sweltering and after having just worked up a sweat going to get our room key, the heat wave was not only unexpected, but unwelcome. We took our jackets, hats and scarves off, turned off the heat and frantically opened the windows. After that annoying chaos, we went to sit on the couch to relax and are met with a disgusting display of what can only be described as "suspicious stains" all over the couch. Exasperated and disheartened, we go to sit on the bed to cozy up only to be met with the most firm, and uncomfortable mattress either of us have ever experienced. After reading some of the lower reviews on google, this isn't a one-off or unique problem. I can certainly understand that you commissioned a high end company to provide you with top of the line mattresses, but this bed is exceptionally firm. I can also understand that people have different preferences for bed firmness or softness, but any hotel I have ever stayed at, whether it is a two star motel, grand Hyatt, or five star luxury hotel, most hotel beds will be a comfortable combination of firm and soft in an attempt to please a majority of guests. This was the hardest bed I have ever had the misfortune of laying my body on. We were of half a mind to go home. This is not the experience we paid $200 for. Unsure of what to do, we walked down to the Chelsea Pub which was already in the midst of closing but they allowed us to enter and listened to our experience and agreed that this was not acceptable. Loft très spacieux dans un boisé au coeur d'un petit village plein de vie à l'entrée du Parc de la Gatineau. Situation géographique idéale pour cyclistes et sportifs. Les lofts sont très récents avec des installations de bonne qualité et des produits, cafés, crèmes et savons, vendus dans une boutique tout près. Très confortable, nous y étions 4 avec 1 lit Queen et 1 lit escamotable. Très propre et joli décor avec une douche à l'Italienne. Nous avons adoré et y retournerons. À ceux qui ont mis une note négative, soit vous n'y avez jamais mis les pieds ou vous êtes de très mauvaise foi. Ayez au moins le cran d'ajouter vos critiques et votre nom. Louise Sauvé

Chelsea is now right near the top of our weekend getaway list and Lofts Du Village was a perfect place to stay while visiting. The lofts were spacious, clean and modern and the location excellent to enjoy a weekend in this special village. Walking distance to Nordik Spa, the gateway to Gatineau Park and plenty of perfect little coffee shops, restaurants and ice cream parlours to fulfill your foodie needs. Can't wait to go back.
