My wife and I had a truly memorable stay at Echeng Hotel during our recent trip to Chengdu. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm hospitality and attention provided by the staff. Room was huge, modern and clean-a perfect place to relax after a full day of exploring the city. Hotel’s location was also ideal. Close to major attractions, yet tucked away just enough to provide a peaceful retreat from the bustling city. It was easy to get around, and we enjoyed discovering local restaurants and shops nearby.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was extremely spacious and offered a spectacular view — definitely one of the best locations in Chengdu. The area is lively and full of energy, especially in the evenings, as it’s popular with young people and features several bars and clubs. This means you might hear some noise at night, but the hotel thoughtfully provides earplugs, which is a nice touch.
I chose a room without breakfast included but decided to try it anyway by paying separately. To be honest, the breakfast didn’t really impress me — especially the limited sweet options — but it might be because we arrived a bit late.

Excellent Location & Outstanding Service – A Truly Memorable Stay!
Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful, thanks to its perfect location and exceptional service.
The location couldn’t be better – just a short walk to the metro station, making it super convenient to explore the city. There’s various street food right downstairs, and within walking distance, we found a large shopping mall with plenty of dining options, including delicious hotpot and other local cuisines.
What truly stood out was the exceptional service. Every time we called the front desk for assistance, they responded immediately and resolved any issues with a smile. A special shout-out to **Alina**, who went above and beyond to help us on our last day. We were struggling with multiple heavy suitcases, and she kindly escorted us all the way to the entrance, made sure we got a suitable taxi, and didn’t leave until we were safely on our way. Her warmth and professionalism were truly touching.
We’re so grateful to the entire staff for making our Chengdu trip so comfortable and memorable. The hospitality here made us feel right at home. Highly recommended– we’ll definitely stay here again on our next visit!

All I can say is this is one of the most friendly hotel for foreigners. Ms. Fengling is an active receptionist, warm welcome, and helpful. She gives me many useful information about travel in Chengdu. In the price we pay, I get breakfast, comfort bed, clean room, mineral water and bath! The hotel location is near subway and walkable to some attentions. Local restaurants, fruits market, supermarket are around the corner. Street is not noisy but feel safe even walk at night. I have a very good time at the hotel. Strongly recommend! Thank you Ms. Fengling!

Definitely worth more than what I paid. The staff were exceptionally well-trained, welcoming, and polite—something I haven’t experienced at other hotels in China. Even the lady at the restaurant, who only spoke Mandarin, was incredibly friendly. The hotel’s location isn’t very close to the metro, but the great service more than made up for it.
Breakfast was good—though limited in variety, it was more than adequate. The room was spacious, clean, and filled with essential amenities. I especially appreciated the unlimited supply of drinking water for guests. But it would’ve been even better if there was a small fridge in the room.
My only concern was that the hotel shares the building and elevators with other occupants. I occasionally noticed the doors to each floor left open, which raised some safety concerns since it felt like anyone could access the hotel room floors.

Hotel located near Tianfu Square subway station. Finding it is a real challenge. Signage in Chinese. The strategy is to ask the delivery guys. They will gladly show you where and they are everywhere n anytime.
The hotel is very clean n the room is spacious n clean.
Fresh daily change of white clean towel. We stayed for 6 nights. They do change the bedsheets. The manager Sky is very helpful. He shows us the laundry room n how to operate the washer n dryer. We were provided with 2 bottles of water daily and can ask for additional bottles if needed. Toiletries were also stocked daily. Very close to Chengdu Huangcheng Mosque.
There's lots of Halal food within walking distance.

The hotel staffs were very helpful and provided good services. Though they could not speak english but they tried thiere best to help me and my family to book didi and communicated with didi drivers. I was really impressed. The hotel located on a good location. There are many restuarants, cafe, bakery shop ( Shan Bake is super good!!), minimarts and fruits shops around the hotel, I could find anything I wanted when I stayed here. IFS arae is walkable distance. Reccommend !!

I had the most amazing experience staying at Kuanrong Suites Hotel (Taiguli Store, Chunxi Road, Chengdu)! This is, without a doubt, the best hotel service I’ve ever received in my lifetime.
The staff were incredibly helpful, and I want to give a special mention to Xiao Wen and Xiao Yue. They went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, their warmth and attentiveness stood out. On the day of our departure, they even helped us carry our luggage all the way to the car, which was such a thoughtful gesture.
The hotel itself is fantastic, but it’s the exceptional service that truly sets it apart. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Chengdu. I can’t wait to come back and stay here again!

The location was good as it was located near an MTR station. The hotel staff were enthusiastic, helpful and efficient. The room was spacious, comfortable with good facilities apart from having some smoking smell. The buffet breakfast was plentiful. The welcoming afternoon snacks were delicious.

Tten.ten.2020Coming here again in the spring, this inn remains the highlight of my trip.
Imagine having had a rough trip: the cold, intense population density, and tough business meetings. Weary, you get off a late flight with sore legs. You trudge over to the inn, turning the final corner into its warm lights, past the usual check-in time. You have no idea how things could go; some hotel receptions can be rather unpleasant. Your first brush with Xishu is its simple double glass doors, and the sight of a giant panda statue. You totter past it gingerly, unsure if anyone is awake at such a late hour.
Ah.
But someone is.
A youthful girl smiles gently at you over the counter, ”Hello. Check in?”
You smile awkwardly, unsure, ”Yes, I know it's late...”
”No,” She responds softly, ”It's ok. Could I get your passport?”
There wasn't a fuss. She smiles and gets to work quietly, clicking away. You set your luggage down and look around. Behind you, you notice the little courtyard, a cultural icon of traditional chinese architecture. A small fountain sputters, fairy lights are strung above for the spring festival, casting a surreal ambience over everything. Wind chimes jingle faintly. You draw a breath at it all. Small tables and chairs are laid out, welcoming you.
”Your room key,” You turn around to see the youthful girl at the counter smiling gently with a keycard. She briefs you in the same calming tone; wifi, breakfast, washing machines, and even a map of attractions all planned out.
You thank her, reminded of your travel fatigue, and head on up. Your footsteps are dampened by carpet, going in hallways of soothing chinese wooden interior designs. The inn is quiet at this hour, unlike the large hotels that have kids or travel groups. You tap your keycard to get in your room... And a small welcome basket awaits you. Apples and oranges, sweets, tiny little spicy sichuan snacks. The aesthetic of the room remains faithful to the inn, throwing you back down the memory lane... to Japanese ryokans, to Bali's traditional guest villas, or to vacation cottages in Europe.
But something is a little different.
Instead of stripping technology and modern convenience, this inn has woven it into its design. Air conditioning has been set for you. Smart toilet seats detect your presence and keep itself clean. Shower buttons are easy to understand, with a single easily controllable hot water lever. Even the mirror at the bathroom sink detects your presence and lights up, with a heating coil that prevents it from fogging on mornings.
You wash up.
Sleep.
The next day, you wake for breakfast, barely after the sun had broken the steel gray of dawn, now you witness the inn's courtyard in the day. Nobody is seated outside yet in such low temperatures, but you take a moment to look around and just soak in the ambience.
Uninterrupted.
When you finally turn towards reception, you notice a pair youthful girls at the counter. Both quietly smiling and unassuming. Calming, instead of the forced professionalism at other hotels.
There's something real here. A sincerity. A genuine kindness that permeates, perhaps from proximity to the monastery? Perhaps the unique historic district? Perhaps the owner and managers made it this way.
The girls check your breakfast options again, in case you might have changed your mind. You totter into the resturant, barely awake, but a fresh cup of nespresso hits you quickly, a familiar aroma from home in a land 12,000km away from home.
And then fruits.
Milk.
Toast bread.
Butter!
Sichuan noodles in the morning.
Exotic dumplings.
Eggs sunny side up.
By the time breakfast is done, you know you will be returning here again.
And again.
I have.
I've made friends with the hotel staff.

Rooms are also beautiful, despite very strange Japanese sockets instead of Chinese one ( the room has only 1 (!) local socket in bathroom). Why it was done - huge secret for me. Swimming pool is nice, but staff there cannot provide swimming caps smoothly, showers get easily clogged, though facilities are new. Reception process is also very hectic, especially on the check in stage - wait time for this number of people (very moderate at 23.00) was totally unacceptable for 5 star. The process itself was not smooth as well.
Last points are the best and the worst parts of the hotel.
The best is breakfast, which was very good both in terms of variety and quality of food. At the Nikko hotels level that I have stayed in Japan. Nothing bad to say about everything related to food.
The worst part is location - as of May 2025 - it is simply construction site all around the hotel. It is hard to get to the hotel, hard to order taxi as it takes a lot of time to find a way to you. If you come via taxi, 3 out 4 times we were brought to the building next by and need to go through the underground parking to get to the hotel, as normal passage is blocked by construction. Just get across the street to the mall on the opposite side of the road is 1.5 km walking. So you are literally isolated from the rest of the city. I have booked this hotel due to May holidays peak prices and relative proximity to the area around Global trade center mall, but due to the road repairs it also have taken far more time than it should. All in all, may be if you want a hotel for a night to have a rest between you r long transfer flights and are not going into the city - it is ok option. Other than that - I would not recommend at this point of time.

JJaneyyy89This resort is nothing short of amazing and I would definitely rate this resort 10/10! I have a young toddler aged 18MO & elderly parents above 70YO during this stay and we absolutely loved our stay here. Value-for-money (we stayed during off-peak season, weekday, about RMB1000/night for our original room type), relatively new, clean & big rooms.
Some noteworthy details:
- Service is top-notched. Staff were friendly & very helpful. We could see that they really put in their heart into the work they do. They even gave our little one a panda toy & she loves it - a really nice gesture by the resort.
- The resort is located at Jintang, a hot spring precinct. With Trip.com, we booked the hotel bundle/package and it was fantastic. The key items in the package include:
(a) A free strawberry picking experience at a nearby humble farm called 许姐草莓采摘. Each booking entitles you to 500g worth of strawberries (transport at own expense, only about RMB10 by Didi). The strawberries were big and juicy, we were lucky cos they are in season now!
(b) 40-min Himalayan Salt Therapy/Bath for 1 pax/room
(c) Outdoor hot spring experience for the whole family (my 18MO loves it too!). There are many pools to choose from & we could find one which was not too hot for our baby. This is otherwise chargeable from RMB228/pax to RMB468/family of 2A1C.
(d) Bicycle rental, but we didn’t try it as it was too cold.
- Resort looks amazing, both indoors & outdoors! There were a number of activities for children to enjoy too but our naughty one is too young to appreciate it. Older kids will love them.
- We also loved the hotel’s concept of having complimentary bottles of distilled water etc. which is really important to us as we needed a lot of water for our baby’s food. This meant that that we did not have to go to the trouble of finding a supermarket, which is quite a distance away.
- We managed to snag a free upgrade to a Spring 2-Bedroom Villa due to our Accor Gold membership & it’s low peak season. All villas come with private pool - ours was available both on L1 & L2.
- Hotel uses quality furnishing & Toto toilet, definitely a plus. Water pressure is great too.
- We had all our meals at L’Orange as there are no nearby eateries & our time is limited due to our baby. The steamboat set is pricey but highly recommended! The fish & lamb meat (can be changed to beef at diner’s request) were fresh & really good. We liked all the other meat dishes too except for the dumplings. If you have Accor Plus membership, the usual discounts are available too. The hotel breakfast is also at the same restaurant. Breakfast selection was good even though there were not many guests.
Areas of improvement:
- Resort was able to provide a baby cot for our 18MO. However, the mattress was a little hard & the cot was creaky, it kept our baby awake.
- The air-con ventilation vents are directly above the baby cot and it became too cold for our baby in the middle of the night. Couldn’t adjust the temperature no matter what. The staff managed to made it warmer the following night but it resulted in some loud noises, probably issues with the damper.
- Rooms can be a little cleaner (e.g we saw dust balls on the floor).

GGuest UserGreat location right on top of Parkson Sq. Hard to find as it is only accessible through a back lift. Amazing rooftop area with lots of seats and spa. Family rooms are a bit dated but nicely styled. We had some bugs in our room and the staff were very accommodating to allow a room change immediately. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again due to great value.

MMirandaK95We had a lovely stay here as a stop off on our journey round china. The location is within walking distance to some local restaurants and the main shopping street/mall areas. The Chinese breakfast was very nice too.
The reception staff went out of their way to help us with booking tickets and restaurant recommendations despite the language barrier. We ate lunch in the restaurant once too which surpassed our expectations and was very tasty.
We got upgraded to a themed room and while we appreciated the extra space there was a lack of lighting and surface space.
We also saw there was a bar when booking but this was open when we tried to visit and the entire top floor terrace was closed which is a shame.

AAnonymous UserThe friendliness and professionalism of the hotel's staff at the front desk was singularly the highlight of the stay, followed by the well executed sense of design and the great amenities. This hotel has received great reviews since years ago and one of it has been the amazing scent which was a joy to experience. Unfortunately they are not selling the products. The cafe next door serves good artisan coffee too, which was the next best coffee i have tasted in Chengdu after % Arabica at KuanZai Alley. There is also a Thai massage parlour, Thai food restaurant, Lawson convenience store and a local popular noodle store just next to the hotel so it is definitely a convenient spot to settle in and experience the local culture right away.

GGuest UserWe absolutely love the location as the hotel is a stone's throw to good street food nearby and also a nice fruit stall just downstairs. We also love looking at the locals doing their daily exercise in the park just beside the building :)
Do check out the roof top cafe if you are planning to stay here as it offers a really nice view n quiet escape if u need a breather from running around. They serve artisanal coffee and rich creamy cake if you need something sweet (but not that sweet).
Altho we did not check out the activities n tours that the staff can help to coordinate, they were really helpful and explain everything very well.
I choose the hotel for its nice rooms, and we really enjoy our rest on the clean n firm but comfy beds :)

HHickeyA really great stay was most impressed with a fantastic room being comfortable having a good view. The staff friendly and supporting and the room was well serviced. If to return to Chengdu would stay there again.
My only suggestion have more variety for breakfast change it and more Western food be better.
The shampoo and body wash caused me bad irritation on my skin so suggest supply more sensitive product’s. Or even just a small cake of soap would be better to wash with. The rash from the shower products I used there will take days to clear. Suggest if you have sensitive skin and stay there to take your own stuff.

CCeeVieAreThis is my first visit to Chengdu and Qionglai city. This hotel or courtyard stay is affiliated to Wyndham Garden along Wenjun Street i.e. big square with various shops for shopping (sports attire brands, yinshion, Miniso), dining and decors perfect for social media posting. Dining options include McD, KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Chagee, Naixue, Heytea, Mixue and local brand dining or beverage operators. Outside the square/Wyndham Garden there are Lawson, Family Mart, 7 eleven and local Hongqiao marts(prices lower). Local mini restaurants selling Sichuan food, noodles, dumplings, snacks are also available outside the square/garden, opposite AllAboutLove bakery and Naixue outlet.
Qionglai city is closely associated with a historical female poet called Zhuo Wenjun. Her residence and Wenjun well built during Han Dynasty is located 10-15 mins walk from Wyndham Garden. Look for Bank of China branch and walk across the street to reach China Construction Bank branch
Then walk straight down until you see a public toilet on your right and cross the street. Walk until you see an open space carpark and go in the carpark you will find Wenjun Residence on your left, entry is free.
You may book a car to Qionglai city from Tianfu airport but be prepared to pay RMB400+ equivalent using trip app. Going back to Chengdu city by car is about RMB200. Standby with some cash if you encounter QR code scan problem. There are also buses and trains options to reach here.
1 -0.5 hours drive you can visit famous Tiantai Mountain, Pingle Ancient Town, Bamboo Canyon Scenic Area ( went there and love it❤️❤️❤) , Yuanwozi winery, etc. ️
My stay was very refreshing and Manager Ma was very helpful and accommodating to all my queries. My travelling plans to nearby attractions was fulfilled despite unfavourable weather, drizzling 2 days non stop. I would recommend for atleast 2 night stays to enjoy 1 day outskirt trip + 1 day chill in the room and enjoy backyard outdoor onsen to relax. Breakfast buffet include western (cereal/salad/eggs/sausages/ham/fries/bread), dimsum, soup, cakoi and soya bean, 3x types of porridges and condiments, local breakfast ( starter or salad, fried rice, meat and vegetable dishes), deserts, local fruits and cut fruits. Hotel staff can also help to order takeouts for you.
