Dawn & Moon Residence at Jiuyanqiao

Xiyueli Hotel (Niushikkou Subway Station, Jiuyanqiao, Chengdu) We stayed in Xiadian for five nights in mid-September, with a room rate of approximately ¥260 per night. The hotel is very conveniently located, about a 3-5 minute walk from Exit A2 of Niushikkou Station on Metro Line 2. Next to Exit A2 is the Huahua Plaza Shopping Center, home to a large Yonghui supermarket and numerous restaurants. There's a 24-hour convenience store downstairs, and numerous restaurants and cafes nearby, making it very convenient for daily necessities. The hotel and reception are both on the 18th floor. The reception area is small, but since you can store your luggage after check-out, it's a bit cluttered due to the large amount of items, but it's not a big deal. Starting with reception, every staff member I encountered at this hotel, including the engineering staff and the housekeepers, was incredibly warm, friendly, sincere, polite, and helpful. I've stayed in many different types of hotels around the world, and this staff's service attitude is definitely in the top five, thanks to their genuine and spontaneous service, which is truly rare. For example, when I wanted to use the self-service laundry, they proactively offered to do my laundry, saving me the wait time. When I was out, and there weren't any other guests, the receptionist would come out from the elevator room to explain the elevator and ask if I needed anything else. I had a free latte on my check-in day (September 17th), and another on my fourth night (September 20th). The receptionist was the same one who worked my check-in day, and she even remembered I was ordering latte. I remember there were at least three women working different hours, two of whom I knew by name: Xiao Wei and Xiao Huang. Thank you so much. The free freshly ground coffee at reception was a bonus, a convenience. The room was spacious, with ample space. Its minimalist yet refined furnishings create a tranquil and comfortable feeling upon entering. The small refrigerator provided a convenient bonus for guests like me staying for a few days, a feature many hotels lack. The bathroom also had separate wet and dry slippers, allowing for a clean, thoughtful touch. The air conditioner was powerful and quiet, and the TV was large enough, which was a plus. The room was cleaned very well on check-in day and for the following days. The self-service laundry room is on the 17th floor, and you need to ask reception for a key to use it. (At check-in, the reception staff offered to launder your laundry if needed. I accepted their offer and left it there that night, and it was returned the next morning, already dried. This service is definitely a plus.) The lighting was adequate, and the bedside lamp was perfect for reading before bed. The curtains provided good blackout protection. The bathroom layout is well-designed, with ideal hot water and flow rates. The floor drains smoothly, and the tiles have some anti-slip properties, which is better than nothing, though you still need to be careful when showering. The soundproofing isn't great. When someone uses or cleans the adjacent bathroom, the noise is quite noticeable. Granted, it doesn't happen often, but thankfully, no one sang in the shower for a few nights, haha. The air conditioner switch is located by the bed. While the design is well-intentioned, allowing for easy temperature adjustment without leaving the bed, the buttons are quite challenging to discern, as they are tiny, and the light from the bedside lamp is quite insufficient for this location. The hotel officially announced that it will be renovated and reopen in 2025, but it still looks a bit run-down. A lack of maintenance has prevented it from maintaining its original condition. This is a common problem among hotels in mainland China and a huge waste, which is a shame. The bathroom door doesn't close tightly, so be careful to adjust it when showering to prevent water from leaking out. Furthermore, the shower floor leaked quite severely. Seen in the attached photo, 10 hours after showering, water was still visible in some areas. Based on these two issues, I requested a room change, and the staff was very helpful and immediately arranged it. However, after the change, I learned that these two shortcomings were common in many rooms, and the new room was the same, so I ended up staying back in my original room. Whether I recommend this hotel or not is up to me; I'll leave it to others to judge. Aside from the two issues with the bathroom, there were many other things I appreciated overall, and the value for money was excellent. I was particularly impressed by the staff's service.

The room was spacious, bright, comfortable, and most importantly, very clean. The front desk service was warm and attentive, making it feel like home. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful surroundings, just across the street from Global Plaza, and there are a variety of dining options nearby, making it very convenient.

This hotel is excellent, with a clean, tidy, and comfortable environment—which is what I value most. A partner chose this hotel for their stay near Niu Shi Kou. The room was well-equipped and meticulously appointed. Not only the bedding, but everything else was of high quality and clean. The hoteliers' meticulous attention to detail was evident in every detail. I highly recommend it. After a long day out, I returned to the room and soaked in a hot tub, which was incredibly refreshing and comfortable. I was completely satisfied. Needless to say, I'll definitely recommend this hotel to colleagues and friends as their preferred choice for business or leisure trips to Chengdu.

This hotel opened this year. The rooms are spacious and clean. We received a free upgrade upon arrival, which includes a mini-fridge and a bathtub. Seeing we were traveling with children, they provided slippers and toothbrushes. We also appreciated the small gifts we gave the children. The service was friendly, with a smile and a hello every time we returned. It felt like home. I originally planned to stay one night, but ended up staying two. It's a few minutes' walk from the subway station, making it convenient for travel.
