Nice neighborhood that’s about it
The house was advertised as a whole house when we got there we then realize the property is a basement to a house. We were left with no trash bags. No rolls of toilet paper we had to go out and buy everything toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher liquid, and trash bags. . There is also an electrical issue because when we put the heaters on the whole house, got smoky and one of the electrical outlets caught on fire. It took two days for an electrician to come out and 8hrs for him to fix it ended up having to go to the store again to buy extension cords to plug the refrigerator up so our food didn’t go bad if you’re going in the winter months, make sure you bring fur coats and sleep with them on because you do not have control over the central AC and heating in the house and some nights it dropped down to 40° in the house.

Cozy and quiet
We loved staying outside of the city in this quiet neighborhood. We were conveniently located within an easy distance to get to everything we wanted throughout our stay. The house was spacious and clean. We loved how quiet the one way street is and would book this spot again.

Great stay
The property was very comfortable. It was clean and had all the amentaties we needed. Parking was good if you arrived early in the evening I guess. We arrived back at 9pm and the only available parking was handicapped with assigned permits. We parked in one of those down the street, but, moved our vehicle early in the morning to the property.

Perfect stay for a long weekend in Chicago with our dogs
Michael's place was easy to access and had everything we needed for our stay. He was really communicative and made sure we had what we needed. And it's in a good walking neighborhood if you have dogs!

Book this property
The host was exceptional and made sure that our stay was comfortable. He even checked in with us halfway through our stay to ensure that everything was going well. Overall, his hospitality was outstanding and made our stay even more enjoyable. The house was immaculate upon arrival and check-in was quick and easy. The mini coffee station won my heart. Highly recommend this property.

Spotty WiFi
The property itself was fine for a basement apartment. My dogs heard every noise from the upstairs neighbors and barked the entire week. While staying here I also needed to get some work done but the WiFi kept disconnecting.....same with the TV internet connection. I will be looking for something different next time.

Quiet and clean
My wife and I enjoyed our stay along with our 2 dogs. The host was very responsive and helpful. The neighborhood was quiet and the rental was clean. Will definitely use again when coming back to Chicago.
