"Send the children to school. The hotel is located close to Sydney University and about 20 minutes' walk from the downtown Chinatown. It is relatively quiet. It is an apartment-style hotel, and it is convenient to cook and wash clothes. The hotel may be older, but the hygiene is still good. The front desk is not 24 hours. Check-in is from 9 am to 6 pm on weekdays. On weekends, there seems to be no one from 2 pm to 4 pm. If you arrive at the hotel when someone is not at work, you need to contact the hotel in advance!"
"I rarely write hotel reviews, but the Old Clare Hotel is a hotel that I am very satisfied with. From the location to the hotel facilities to the service and cost-effectiveness, I think it is a particularly good experience. If I go to Sydney next time, I will choose here again.
Location: Located in the center of Sydney, there is a very distinctive small street below, which is very lively on weekend nights. It takes less than three minutes to walk to the supermarket and ww supermarket, which is also very convenient for buying some supplies. It only takes 5 minutes to walk to the bus
Environment: It is an old building that has been transformed. While retaining the characteristics of its original historical buildings, the room facilities will not feel old at all, but it feels very distinctive.
Service: It can be said that I am very very very very satisfied. Whether I checked in on the first day or checked out on the last day. The front desk received us very well. We arrived in Sydney at six o'clock in the morning on the first day, and we were allowed to check in early to wash up. On the last day, I lost my opal card in the hotel, and the front desk staff also helped me find it. Thank you very much!"
"This hotel has everything you need, just a few steps from Central station. Very clean and quiet. Free Netflix to keep my kids busy which really surprised me as most hotel we've been to charge money for it. There are microwave, kettle, fridge, hair dryer in the room. At the reception, there are complimentary tea and coffee, fruits, Skittles which you can get them anytime. The coffee machine can make warm and cold milk, too. In the morning there are some pastry for breakfast. This is our second time stay here and we still love it so much. The only minus point is that there's no tissue boxes anywhere in the room and remember to bring your toothbrush and toothpaste."

"Location next to central station provides easy transport to many attractions, extremely convenient. Male staff from the front reception are attentive and very helpful to bring our luggages down the wet stairs from railway square entrance on a rainy day. For the room, bed mattress unable to absorb motion transfer from a tossing sleeping partner, twin bed a better choice on hindsight. Bedside table a little dusty throughout our stay even after room cleaning, cleanliness could be better."
"I loved that hotel, from start to finish! The staff were amazing, so helpful. Free chocolate and drinks at check in and lollipops in the lobby, plus fruit in the gym – what a bonus! The rooms were gorgeous, and the breakfast buffet was top-notch, with eggs cooked to order. It was a bit noisy from the street, but not too bad. It's a little out of the city center, but there are tons of buses."
"Hotel review: Located at the intersection, the glass is not soundproof, the motorcycle engine is very noisy at night, and I can't fall asleep.
This time's review of Ctrip: zero stars, very bad!
The online customer service was very polite and expressed that they could empathize with me. After upgrading the network supervisor Nian Tong and the telephone supervisor Ms. Ma, they changed their words in seconds and said they were helpless! They also used ”we are all workers” to gain sympathy.
They can't think and solve problems from the perspective of the guests, but only shirk responsibility and apologize in form. On the surface, they are trying to please the company because they save compensation and will get more bonuses at the end of the year. Maybe they can get a March 8th Red Flag Bearer next year... They have lost the trust of the guests in the platform at a deep level. They are not good birds if they don't know how to cherish their feathers!"
"If all you need is a place to sleep, this hotel is quite decent. However, if you’re looking for a bit more in terms of service, it seems this hotel falls short of expectations."
"It is located in the chippendale area, close to the University of Sydney. It is not on the main road and requires a few short walks, which is also more convenient. The room is clean and tidy, and the decoration is refreshing and warm. This is my second stay. This time there is a new USB charging port and cleaning service is provided every day."
"In room washer dryer dish washer good air conditioning fridge wine glasses pots stoves etc made my stay convenient and comfortable. Very friendly staff and helpful. Quiet and convenient location to get around by uber. Will highly recommend"
"If you're in Sydney for The Swinging Cat World Championships, this is NOT the hotel for you. Tiny (but clean and modern) rooms. The hotel exists to try and deliver a bit of value to cheapskate tourists like myself. You're right on Broadway (not to be confused with actual NYC Broadway btw (whose photos are somewhat wankily plastered all over the lobby)), so there's no excuses for not walking everywhere; and Julie on front desk may not be able to get you a bigger room but may find you one with a window (!) as she runs the place with a friendly, but ruthlessly matter-of-fact demeanour that brings to mind the (often hidden) intended benign benefits of authoritarian Facism (not that I'm a fan, mind). She's also there literally ALL the time to the point that she may in fact be an unthreatening-AI-robotic-beta concept-receptionist. You're not going to like it...but then again, you probably know that already...aaand, it's certainly better than a hostel."
