From the moment we arrived at Taj Meghauli Serai, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and care, setting the tone for a truly unforgettable 2-night stay to celebrate our son’s 3rd birthday. Our villa with a private pool overlooked the stunning Rapti River and the lush Chitwan National Park—a breathtaking sight that was only made better by spotting a few rhinos from the property itself! The villa was beautifully decorated for the birthday surprise, and the celebration arranged by the team is a memory we’ll cherish forever. A big thank you to the entire Housekeeping team for making it look magical! Special appreciation to Mr. Dipanker at the front desk for his warm hospitality, seamless check-in and checkout, and excellent room orientation—it made everything smooth and stress-free. Our naturalist, Swastika, was outstanding—her knowledge, energy, and warmth made our safari tour an absolute highlight. Heartfelt thanks to Chef Narendra Bogati, not just for the delicious meals, but also for personally checking on us at every mealtime to ensure everything was to our liking. Your care did not go unnoticed! We’d also like to extend our gratitude to Ms. Chitra, Mr. Sujan, Mr. Bishal, and Ms. Muskan—your gracious hospitality made us feel right at home. And finally, a special thank you to Mr. Kushwendra Sisodiya, who was always present, ensuring every little detail was perfect and seamless. Your efforts truly made this feel like more than just a stay—it felt like home with the Taj touch. This was not just a vacation; it was an experience of a lifetime. We felt like family here.

The Meghauli Serai is set in amazing grounds and views . The entrance overlooks an infinity pool with the jungle in the background . We were fortunate to have Swatika as our guide for the safari drive, walk and boat safari , she is extremely knowleable and engaging . We were lucky enough to see a Tiger , Rhino with calf , Sloth bear monkeys and Deer. Sujan in the restaurant looked after us for all our meals and was very attentive and friendly . The food is amazing and varied , often we just didn’t have the capacity to eat all offerings .All the staff are very attentive and trying to make your stay memorable . The traditional local dancing on our last night was a lovely end to our stay .

By far the best TAJ property we have stayed at. This place is an experience in itself, being inside the iconic Chitwan National Park, the biggest and first national park in Nepal, this place has every element which one would want to experience when on a safari. What differentiate this place is definitely the staff, people, naturalists (who are professionally trained and certified). They employ the local people from the neighbouring village to create employment and support the system around. The food (we went for full board which includes all meals but no drinks) was super delicious. Every meal was a treat and the quality /fresh ingredients could be felt. The safari experience which we did with Santosh was amazing. We opted for 2 safaris since we were here for 3 days, in addition to river safari (must do) , we also did jungle walk (as experience in itself) spotting so many rhinos, wild boar, tiger pug marks, crocs, and number of birds species with spotted deers. We also spotted a baby rhino with the mum We didn't want to leave this place and wanted to extend. But I am sure we will be back again. My stay at the private pool villa was unforgettable! The villa itself was luxurious and serene, offering complete privacy and comfort. The wildlife safari was thrilling, bringing us close to nature and offering incredible sightings. Ending the day with a peaceful sundowner boating experience was the perfect touch—watching the sunset over the water was magical. This combination of adventure and relaxation made for a truly one-of-a-kind getaway.

I came here in search of Rhinos, I’d heard Chitwan national park was a great place to see them. I did some research and the Meghauli location seemed to be a great place to stay to have Rhinos encounters. Firstly the hotel and staff from general manager Amit to every single employee were exceptional. This was my first experience staying at a Taj hotel and if their other properties are half as good as this one I’ll be looking to experience their resorts and safaris around the world. Santosh the naturalist and Santosh the driver got me some of the best animal encounters I’ve experienced as a wildlife photographer, they even spotted a leopard which was an unexpected but amazing surprise, Chitra and Anupa in the restaurant were also extremely hospitable as were the whole front desk team. 10/10 recommend, all in all I saw 20 plus rhinos some from the resort, most from the safari, an Indian leopard and countless species of bird. The rooms are amazing, a plunge pool looking over the national park amazing bathrooms and comfortable beds. Thank you again the Taj Meghauli team I will be back!
