Akti Beach Hotel & Village Resort

I’m giving it a 3/5 because the holiday was good when not on the resort and because of the weather. I booked a package holiday with easy jet for my mum and myself our flight was a late flight meaning when we arrived at the hotel it was late. Our first encounter was off from the get go,when we checked in the staff did not make us feel welcomed due to poor communication from staff. As we were being shown to our room the staff who was taking us sped off and it was dark so I had to try to keep up while still making sure I could see my mum and where we were meant to go. In the morning we went to go for breakfast we asked reception where to go as it was our first time and we wasn't told nor shown where anything was. We were told go to the lift and downstairs the lift is not noticeable from standing at reception. We found it and had breakfast when we got back to our room we called easy jet and were told maybe it's because of culture differences🤔?? We took it upon ourselves to figure everything out went to the outside pool bar for a few drinks when we came across Luke I give praise to who is the Team leader entertainment. The only person to tell us anything told us about the shuttle bus but you have to put your name down at reception and usually it's minimum 4 people but a lot of people there are of 2. He also told us of local places to explore and done great with the day time games and night time entertainment😊 The entertainment each night is different and can be enjoyable get there early to have a good seat/ view of the entertainment. The food was nice I like that they do theme nights each night but still have your classic dishes. The bar has your standard drinks but the all inclusive bar closes at 11pm but you can make purchases after. The manager also “came” to see us the day we complained but missed us as we was out and when we went to reception they said yep he came but is gone now and that was it nothing more. Just before we were leaving the manager saw us and tried to smooth things out but the overall experience was not for us and we wouldn’t be in a rush to come back somewhere we don’t feel welcomed. This isn’t even half of it but I’ll be here forever otherwise. The country is a nice country nothing against Cyprus as everywhere else we went we were greeted right and respectful. Overall I’d be in no rush to come back to this hotel.

Really enjoyed my recent stay in Akti hotel. The location is right on the seafront and even has a cove to swim in. There are lots of sunbeds so even on busy days there is always somewhere to relax. The studios are quite basic but have everything you need and are spacious. The best part about Akti is definitely the staff, in particular the bar staff and entertainment staff. They are very polite, friendly and attentive and Luke who is in charge of the entertainment goes above and beyond to make sure every evening is memorable

Great staff throughout. Food very good. Very clean. Plenty of sun beds. Sea and pool temperature not too cold. 5 mins to acclimatise. Cats very friendly. I’ve read some reviews stating some guests were not well and suspected the food/and or cats. I observed almost every guest not cleaning their hands before helping themselves to the food. Serving spoons and tongs could easily get contaminated through poor personal hygiene. We weren’t unwell whilst we were there and didn’t know of any other guests that were during our 11 night stay. The acoustics in the bar area and out in the reception/foyer area made it difficult to have a conversation whilst the entertainment was under way unless you can lip read or use sign language.
