Chongqing Hotels with Bars

The Hotel is clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly. It is rather close to attractions such as HongYaDong and JieFangBei, and is convenient as it is very close to XiaoShiZi station (Line 1, Exit 6). Only thing to take note is that the hotel is within an office building so during peak hours on the weekdays, the lifts are often full and you may need to wait 10-15mins to board an available lift, so try to avoid heading out during peak hours (there is a sign at the lift lobby on the 22nd floor indicating these hours). Other than that, the stay was great 👍🏻

Our family recently stayed at Mountwell Chongqing (Jiefangbei) and overall, we had a wonderful experience. The location is fantastic – right in the heart of Jiefangbei, making it super convenient for shopping and dining. The panoramic suite offered breathtaking views, and the room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, perfect for families. The front desk was exceptionally helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Special shoutout to 金金, 紫涵, 二娃, 小林, and 慧子 (Guest Manager) for their professionalism and genuine care—they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The lobby’s well-stocked snacks and drinks were a lovely touch, showing their attention to guest needs. That said, we did encounter a few issues: Sewage smell in the toilet (room 2902) – Unfortunately, the master bathroom had a persistent sewage odour that permeated into the master bed room despite having the bathroom door closed. We raised the complaint to the front desk but had the misfortune of encountering an employee Mr. Yang who was not only rude but dismissive and condescending when speaking to us. He accused us of being oversensitive and even insinuated we were exaggerating the stench to get a discount. He arranged for the cleaners to fix it. And by fix, i mean opened the window and sprayed some deodorant. We said that was merely a temporary solution and the stench will return. He begrudgingly moved us to another room (room 3702) and said the stench is gone (it is not) and he would “behead” himself if it returns (he did not). The odour though still present was much more tolerable. We visited the front desk again to feedback on the odour situation and on Mr. Yang. The front desk apologised profusely on behalf of Mr. Yang and assured us we would not have to interact with Mr. Yang again. Aircon issue – On our first night in 3702, the AC shut off automatically due to a floor-wide problem, but it was fixed the next day. Washing machine issue – after moving to 3702, the washing machine broke. We called the front desk and they promptly arranged for a replacement. Unfortunately, the brand new replacement washing machine leaked after the first wash. We informed the staff and they offered to complete the wash and dry our laundry for us while we leave for our day so as to not affect our itinerary. It was unfortunate but we thought they handled the situation well. Why still 5 stars? Because every hotel have flaws—what matters is how they’re handled. Aside from that one rude staff, (the team especially the staff we praised) turned potential frustrations into minor footnotes. Their sincerity and efficiency in problem-solving reflect true hospitality, and we’d gladly return. Keep up the great work!

We recently stayed at the Chongqing Ashan River View Hotel (Jiefangbei Raffles Square Branch), and it was an amazing experience! The service was truly outstanding. Despite the language barrier, the front desk staff were incredibly kind and helpful. One of the lovely ladies even went out of her way to pick us up from the mall, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our room was upgraded to a beautiful river-view duplex, and I have to say it was absolutely stunning. The room was spotless, and the tranquility of the place made for a peaceful and restful stay. There were no disturbances, and I slept like a baby, which is always a huge plus when traveling. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, beautiful rooms, and great location. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Chongqing!

The hotel location is excellent—close to many amenities, with Mala hotpot available everywhere nearby. Xiaoshizi Metro Station is also just a short walk away. The room was relatively clean, and the staff were helpful. I stayed on the 18th floor and the only issue was the water pressure in the bathroom, which was a bit weak.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is very strategic — close to everything we needed, making it convenient for getting around. The staff were all helpful and friendly, and they responded to all our enquiries promptly and professionally throughout our stay. The hotel offers a laundry service and provides daily housekeeping, which we really appreciated. A special shoutout to 刘姐, the room cleaner, who was incredibly lovely and caring. She even placed a red date drinks during our stays — such a thoughtful and warm gesture that made us feel right at home. Overall, a great experience. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back again!

I stayed for 7 nights and extended another 4 nights. A total of 11 nights. Positives: 1) I'm able to contact service staff via Wechat, which is awesome for introverts. 2) Laundry service is free. You'll have to pack and hand over the clothes (except for socks and undergarments) to them for washing during their stated hours. 3) Robot will deliver your food deliveries and requested items (ice etc.), which is cool. 4) Service is superb, and they assisted in receiving my taobao parcels and kept it safe in their storage area. 5) When I requested a stay extension, a slight discount was kindly granted. Negatives: 1) One of the nights, I was told that there was no more ice. Usually, hotels provide a bucket or a glass of ice. There were 2-3 nights we requested for ice, and it were given in a small paper cup. 2) Faulty curtain blinds in our room. Our curtains blinds automatically went up during random hours, usually in the morning or afternoon, which affected my sleep. I'm a light sleeper, so I couldn't sleep back afterwards. However, i did not notify the staffs until my last night as it didn't bother me that much. Initially I thought it will go up after 24h. 3) Our hotel voucher came with high tea set. However, I waited half an hour for the staff to serve us due to peak hours. And waited for another 20min for the pastries and tea to be served. And that was during my birthday. Honestly, you can pass on it, it wasn't impressive and it wasn't worth the wait. Neutrals: 1) My birthday was during the trip but there were no special arrangement done. Usually in other countries, the hotel will write us a birthday card and give a small cake. 2) I read many reviews of free room upgrade, but there weren't one given to us despite long stays. 3) As its not self service Laundry, you won't be able to wash your undergarments and socks. Please bring more if you do not want to hand-wash it yourself. There are not self service Laundry service nearby. 4) they do not provide any more panda plushies during checkout :(

We have an exceptional experience at Aspera, a boutique hotel. The room is clean and equipped with fixtures of excellent quality including from Dyson and Harmon speaker. The breakfast has very good spread, with excellent coffee and roof-top view. The service staff are all very well trained and motivated with great service culture. Hotel Manager 小夏 leads a young vibrant team with strong competence and professionalism. Hotel even provides complimentary concierge laundry service, and afternoon tea. Hotel location is perfect, 5 mins walk to train station, pedestrian walking street and close to all attractions. Hotel is located on 24th floor within an office block, which is common for all the hotels within the city vicinity. Strongly recommended.

Amazing hotel!!!! It was incredible. Receptionists were very kind, room was perfectly clean and the services included for the price are insane: gym, laundry room, bathtub, amenities and bathrobe.. everything perfect! Will recommend to all our friends in Spain.

Excellent customer service. We had issues with being unable to connect to the internet. 隆碎霞 helped us diligently to get the issue resolved. She provided different options to resolve the issue and was constantly in contact with us back and forth during the ordeal. She is truly an asset to the company. I also ran into her in the laundry area and she patiently explained things to me using the translator. The hotel has amazing views high above all the other buildings. The breakfast buffet has a large selection. Had pretty much everything except English tea bags. Which was actually available in the room, but not in the buffet. I was too lazy to go to the room to get it. Other than that, it has a superb variety, including Chinese and Western options. Afternoon tea had very sparse options. Some sweets, and fruit. Nothing to rave about, but appreciative to have. Room interior are spacious and well equipped. Personally I find it lacking quality finishes worthy of a 5 star hotel, but that is my personal preference. Especially having stayed at the JW next door the previous night. Beds are comfortable. There was a cute little tea pot set. Washroom can be an issue depending on the room type. First room, the washroom was enclosed with a shower, toilet and sink in the same room, separated by a dark frosted glass door. Second room, toilet and shower are in separate stalls with the sink on the outside. But, the glass partitions are opaque with no additional door separating the washroom area. This can be an issue sharing a room with friends and family. Also can be quite noisy if your partner is trying to sleep in while you're using the bathroom area. There are many spaces on the 57th floor for lounging and meeting up with friends. The design is modern, big and spacious. Signage to the hotel in the lobby is non existent. You have to take an elevator to the 44th floor. Then round the corner where you will see the signage for Pagoda. Staff will then ready a lift for you to the 57th floor for check in. This is my first time in a hotel with this kind of elevator set up. It is a bit troublesome to transfer elevators. But then it feels very private and exclusive when the elevator is dedicated only to us. Plus I feel it's actually faster without having to stop on the different floors to pick up other guests. Location is very ideal. Walkable to Hongya caves. Many shops and eateries near by. Pagoda is an excellent choice when visiting Chongqing.

Love this hotel. Recommend 👍🏻 Stayed there for 3 nights.  Location: Excellent. The hotel is located on Jiefangbei pedestrian street. Very close to Linjiangmen station (100 m), plenty of food options and shops around the hotel. Walking distance to Hongyadong, Kuixin Square, bayi street food etc.  Breakfast: Very good. Love their noodle soup. Food very tasty.  Room: Modern decor & Clean.  Customer Service: Serein & his Team are very friendly and helpful.  Free laundry is a bonus!!!!
