Four Points by Sheraton Chongqing

Biggest tip to other travellers: book the superior king room. it has the best layout compared to the rest of the room types. Gym is very generous. Other than that location is very convenient. It is a new hotel so I was very comfortable with how clean everything is. Service was excellent , we communicated to the staff that we didn't like the current room and they have gone to the effect of switching the room for us.

Unfortunately my first bad review in China. Tina was amazing and really tried her best. But the hardware isn't good enough. The first room was good (if you don't include the sewage smell from the toilet) until at 23pm construction started right beneath it (you could hear all the banging outside although inside insulation was good) Then I was moved to a different room which you could hear every step from above and every doorslam or kids screaming (late night and early morning). This is me overlooking all the other room flaws. Breakfast had a very small offering in my opinion. P.S. moved here because the other hotel was on top of a construction site I guess this just wasn't my best 2 days.

Lovely stay from start to finish. Our high-floor room was spotless, spacious and quiet with effective soundproofing. The view on Jiefangbei were a lovely bonus. Special thanks to Rumi at the front desk: she was warm, accommodating, and impressively efficient with every request. We had a great stay and would happily choose this hotel again on a future visit to Chongqing.

I had a very pleasant and comfortable stay . Staff are friendly, especially thanks to the lady at the laundry room helping on guest’s laundry. Will definitely stay here again in future ☺️

We had an absolutely fantastic time. The room was brand new and very clean. The location is perfect and has plenty of great food options around. Anthony helped us out and was a fantastic host. Will definetly return if we are back in Chongqing!

I had booked my room more than 2 weeks before arrival and had requested specifically for a higher floor room. Arrived late after midnight and was given room 1016, on their lowest floor. Reminded them that I had requested much earlier for a high floor and the usual reply was “ we are fully booked and that is the only room left”. As we were very tired, coming from the airport, we reluctantly agreed. Had our shower, and got into bed, by now way past 1 am, but there was this loud humming from the aircon, and even louder noise from somewhere. Turned off aircon but loud disturbing noise continued. We were too tired to make a complaint to insist a change of room (front desk had insisted hotel fully booked and no more rooms available). Tried to sleep but the noises kept us awake till the wee hours of the morning when noises stopped. Imagine to our horror in the morning when the full curtains were drawn and the picture window stared directly to an ugly sight of 4-5 huge water cooling tanks, NOT the CITY VIEW which we had booked and was described. This was indeed FALSE PRESENTATION by the hotel and that room should NEVER even been sold as one described!!!! A room with no windows and no ugly noise would have been more welcomed. After our protestation and threatening to check out immediately, the hotel gave us an upgrade to a suite for the next 3 nights. But the harm was already done as our day was completely ruined due to lack of sleep and we could not enjoy the day and had to cut short our intended program and call for an early night. For all future guests, DO NOT ACCEPT ROOM 1016! For the hotel management : STOP SELLING THE ROOM AS A CITY VIEW ROOM WHEN IT IS NOT! And for the Sheraton management : look into this as this is not the image that your group would wish to portray!
