Simply love this beautifully decorated ATOUR Hotel (aka 亚朵X酒店) that is housed at the former Chongqing Press (重庆报业) premise. As usual, ATOUR Hotel always lives up to my high expectation in hotel accommodation. Pretty clean and the housekeeping services are excellent. Perhaps the only complaint about this particular ATOUR Hotel is the toilet flush in hotel room 6309 isn’t as strong as other units, cos the toilet can easily get choked if toilet papers are disposed. So dispose toilet papers ONLY when necessary. Overall, I am still very satisfied with my 3-day stay in this nostalgic hotel that is very retro and elegantly decorated.

Positives: Great 1920's-theme design; perfectly clean; modern; very polite staff; good buffet breakfast; many restaurants in the area; large showers; firm comfortable bed with hypoallergenic pillows; off the busy street so less noise. Negatives: As expected, no English spoken by staff (used Translator app); Nearby metro somewhat inconvenient due to steep steps or taking a public elevator.; some outside noise (but that's hard to avoid in such a central area). Would stay again.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in China: Not only it has historical significance but also the up-to-date management style and attentive to the needs of guests. I thoroughly enjoyed the midnight snack offered and appreciated the thoughts behind it.

The hotel was converted from a press company, hence had a lot of nostalgic feeling and unique. Big thumbs up. The service of front desk staff was fantastic. She was full of energy and sparkles when dealing with us. You could feel her passion of her job. Great! The smell from the public toilet at ground floor definitely dampened our mood, albeit bad feeling would be gone when you couldn't smell it. Our booking did not include breakfast due to our early morning flight. The same front desk staff saw us in the morning and offerred to pack some food for us. We were delighted with her care even though we didn't take up the offer!

Very nice and clean. It’s near 十八梯. The room was smaller than I expected so it was a little bit expensive. But the service and breakfast were worth it.

We had a short stay in the Atour in Chongqing but perfectly suited our needs. The room was spacious and very comfortable and the staff incredibly helpful.
