Premier Inn Christchurch West

How disappointed we were with this hotel. The restaurant did not open till later in the evening so there was nowhere to get a drink when we arrived earlier in the afternoon. The room was clean. I don't think the pillows were as good as I have experienced before. Dinner took a while to cone out but we waited 3/4 of an hour for breakfast. We decided not to eat there the next day for breakfast or dinner. Perhaps Travel lodge would have been a better bet. What a shame because you could always count on a Premiere Inn for a good stay.

The room was fine. However the service fell short of what we have experienced at other Premier Inns, notably in the restaurant. The staff seemed overworked and stressed and while not rude were less than welcoming. We were told twice that the hotel was full and that they were short staffed. Some friends in the same group as us were actually turned away when they went for an evening meal. We later learned from other friends that this hotel has a reputation for being disagreeable. We won’t be going back.

What a surreal experience! The receptionists were so kind and attentive, as soon as you walk through the front doors there was someone there to greet you with a smile and always great humour, I stayed for a week and I will 100% be coming again, the breakfast was to die for and the dinner oh my let’s just say I never once left hungry, a massive well done to the team for great service and your hospitality. With me and my OCD I always go round checking for dust and cobwebs but there was nothing out of place nor dirty. The cleanest and most hygienic hotel ever! Thankyou all so much once again! I’m booking for my summer stay already 😍

I stayed in a premier plus room and had the best nights sleep in forever, the bed felt like a cloud, the pillows were plump, and the duvet was soooo cozy!!Honestly couldn’t recommend this hotel enough!! If your feeling hungry I’d recommend the restraunt next doors as their meals at stupendous 😋

In list format.... 1. Premier plus rooms are only by name. They are normal rooms but with signs. Old style bath with a shower attachment. Very poor and definitely not worth the money. 2. No draft beer now. Only bottled expensive beer. Apparently it's the 'new' thing. Very poor 3. 1 member of staff to serve food and run bar. Around the main dining time you cannot get served (bar + food) and you have to pre book everything 4. Staff are excellent despite massive failings by corporate 5. The vending machine rarely works if you wish to grab a snack on way out, which is serviced by an outside agent, therefore not the staffs problem, but they still have to deal with the fallout (!) 6. Everytime you book you are advised that changes are being made and things will improve, but no, they are just getting worse. 7. Regular staff members are great despite these failings. It's now the Travelodge for me in Christchurch town.

The room was pleasant enough, clean with comfortable beds. The hair dryer was faulty, had to manoeuvre it around to get it to work. Really annoyed that they didn’t have any eggs left for breakfast, poor planning. Got our refund any took our money elsewhere
