"The hotel was very well located for shopping , Xian Bell Tower and Muslim Quarter. The staff were friendly and welcoming although English was very limited. The hotel itself was very clean and skinny smelled of oranges. It would be good if they could put this scent in the corridors too as I suspect some guests smoke in the corridors. Breakfast was a Chinese buffet. It was satisfactory. This hotel feels like a good 3 star hotel. The hotel is in the middle of a night club area and so is noisy at night. The hotel did warn us of this on arrival and upgraded us to a quieter room, although it was still a bit noisy. We didn’t really mind as it was only 2 nights. We are an older couple in our 50s from Australia. I think we should have stayed near Pagoda Square. This hotel and area would be better for younger couples who like to make the most of the evenings."

"The facilities were good, staff were generally helpful and nice. Very clean environment; generally has what you need. Very conveniently located. Some of the staff at the front desk are a bit too immature and could act a bit more professional. Apparently, they find it funny for you ask them for water; ask them a few more times and they would giggle and laugh behind your back and make fun of you; they might even horse around with you if Mandarin is not your first language and you don't speak as natively as they do. I made an add on booking for an extra night. If you need them to do anything towards the end of your stay, they might withhold service at the front desk until you give them a perfect rating; they wouldn't check me back in the hotel until I left a good rating/comment for my first booking. They forgot I that I could also rate / comment for my second booking. Basically a bunch of kids. Otherwise, hotel management seems fine. Pretty clean, the staff were generally polite."

"I had an amazing stay at Gran Melia Xi'an. The hotel's blend of traditional and modern architecture is stunning. My room was spacious, with a beautiful view, comfortable amenities, and excellent Wi-Fi. The dining options are fantastic, especially the Amber Palace Indian Restaurant. The fitness center, indoor pool, and spa were great for relaxation. Located near Tang Paradise and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, it's perfect for sightseeing. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Overall, a luxurious and memorable experience. Highly recommend!"

"When we arrived at the hotel my friend was sick AF and was throwing up every 5minutes. Thankfully the room was huge (not like other hotels in china, and to be honest is big even for european standards) so i could enjoy some time in the room by watching drag race global (#teamnehellenia) on the sofa, by watching the view from the window and by taking long walks in the room all of this while he was vomiting in the bathroom. The location is great is just 20min by didi from the airport and 20min from xi'an north railway station by subway (just one stop). Next to the hotel there are a lot of restaurants and places to eat in general. The only downside was that the hotel only had 2 washing machines (very weird since ibis hotel in jiayuguan has several and it is way smaller) and they do greenwashing!!! (the trashcan should is separated for recycling waste and non recycling waste but if you look more closely you realize that inside there's only one bag for the trash. And please please please make sure to visti hua shan mountain it's beautifull up there e soprattutto è pieno di fregni rari con le tette e braccia enormi e bara! BEST HOTEL IN CHINA HANDS DOWN"

"I came to Xi'an and stayed at Wall Inn Chang'an near the city wall again. It felt like home. The housekeeper was as enthusiastic as ever. The bed and pillows in the B&B were so so so comfortable. It is so important to have a good night's sleep. I really want to ask if I can buy the same ones. It was Valentine's Day and when I returned to the room at night, I saw the roses and Ferrero Rocher chocolates carefully prepared by the housekeeper. It was so sweet! All toiletries are Jo Loves by Jo Malone. The digital shower system has a lot of water and displays the bath water temperature in real time. You can adjust it to your favorite temperature every time without having to try hot and cold. The location is inside the north gate of the city wall and it is very convenient to take a taxi anywhere.
