Lake Unarinjärvi is a clean, large and fish-rich lake (perch, pike, whitefish, pikeperch and vendace). River Meltausjoki and its rapids offer nice challenges for fishermen trying to catch graylings. Boat, outboard motor and fishing gear can be rented from the owner. Private sand beach offers a comfortable space for hobbies, camping and beach life. In winter, there is a cross-country ski trail maintained by the village association. There are also several routes for snowmobiles in the area.
