Old carpets and wallpapers, lighting etc. Someone should invest in this place and do it up! There is however another modern-looking hotel across the river that bears the same hotel logo. Maybe they spent all their capital there? The room there apparently are western style though, which is a shame because the japanese style rooms in this one are kinda nice- original for foreign travellers like us. The service, I must say, is world class. They were so nice to cancel the other booking I made (I double booked accidentally) upon confirming with me as soon as we arrived (we managed to communicate despite the language barrier as they hardy speak any English). Would not mind staying there again next time, if they refurbished the place."
