在英國這次住了這麼多家酒店，唯一踩坑的一家。這家基本上就是一家印度人運營的家庭旅館，不是連鎖酒店，果然就踩了坑。我們一家三口，一個孩子，説房間小住不下，臨時加收了兩晚1200人民幣，但又説沒房，衹換了第二晚的房，為什麼要加收兩晚的費用？住其他的連鎖酒店就沒有這種問題。小的家庭旅館就是會有這種事情，攜程不應該掛牌這樣的旅館。服務跟價格比起來，能訂連鎖酒店的還是訂連鎖酒店吧。設施也非常一般，就是山間小屋，又小又潮。位置的話，距離温德米爾火車站直線距離很近，但這個是障眼法。實際上你過不去，輪渡你要有足夠的時間，還要倒公交，交通非常不便。我們從火車站出來，打車繞湖30分鐘花了400人民幣。

Great service and hospitality from the staff at the hotel. The food is good value and is based on a classic pub menu of staples - pie and chips, burgers, sausage and mash etc but some dishes have an Indian twist. Beer is good too. Well kept and good choices. The room we had needs a bit of a refresh but all in all this is a good base for a week or so of walking or exploring on the west side of Windermere. The ferry is only 5 mins drive away too. Recommended for a week’s stay for sure. Close to Hawkshead, Wray and Ambleside.

Excellent place, good parking. Excellent bar and restaurant. Fantastic family run place!! Spotless clean, we would definitely stay again. Breakfast very very good. Lunch/ dinner, faultless, these people really know how to look after their guests!!! Top tip, go left out of hotel and get the 5 minute car ferry to Windermere.

Breakfast very good. The pub was comfortable.staff friendly I stayed in room 21 which is in a corridor just through the bar area. My room was clean and comfortable. But the corridor was carpeted and had a strong small of dogs. Think it would be a good idea to give it a clean or change the flooring.

The location is excellent and the room was very good, clean and comfortable with excellent facilities. This is obviously a family run business and staff were pleasant but lacked the expected degree of attentiveness. Critically, the restaurant food did not live up to expectations, neither the dinner nor the breakfast. The food on offer was primarily fried and there was a paucity of fresh vegetables and ingredients, even the fruit at breakfast was tinned rather than fresh. For what was on offer the food and drink is overpriced. It’s a lovely location and the rooms are comfortable but overall the hotel ‘could do better’ unless chips and fried food is what you are looking for during your stay.

We booked at the last minute and were absolutely delighted to discover this cozy, friendly and welcoming pub/hotel. The staff are all excellent and it's a very well managed establishment. It also has an informal and decent restaurant. Perfect location for visits to Grizedale Forest and Coniston. We would definitely return and recommend. Our room (1) was huge with a very large ensuite bathroom . Thanks to all the staff.

Very pleased we decided to stay here. We received a warm welcome from all the staff. Room was very comfortable and whilst the lights kept tripping in the night the staff did everything they could to solve the problem. Breakfast was excellent and we ate in the restaurant most nights and would particularly recommend the Sunday lunch and the beef and ale pie!! A couple of suggestions not moans… I would prefer to have a tea pot or a mug rather than the tiny cups at breakfast and could you please improve the quality of the wine glasses. It was a little disappointing drinking a nice glass of wine out of a very cheap, thick rimmed glass. First world problems and would not prevent us from staying again and as the title says.. we would highly recommend!
