Blossom Hill Bed and Breakfast

What a splendid peaceful haven just outside the town of Killaloe and flanked by picturesque scenery around . We are a couple in our 70s and as we had travelled a lot that day and we gladly welcomed a superb cosy bed - great hospitality and communication from Norman and Marie and an amazing excellent choice for breakfast as we aren’t into the usual fry up .We hope to return again - next time with our bikes as Blossom Hill ticked all the boxes for us .

Was welcomed at the door by Norman, who was extremely welcoming. Our room was clean with everything in it you needed for an overnight stay. Our breakfast was delightful and plenty. Easy accessible and ideal location - most definitely would return 😀

The rooms were very comfortable and the food was very good. Norm and Marie were great hosts. Norm went out of his way to give us travel tips. I would recommend staying here if you are in the Killaloe area.

Excellent location. The hosts, Norman and Marie very nice. Very clean facility. Excellent large breakfast between 8-10am. Free wifi. Small clean sitting room for tea and coffee. New towels every 2 days. Quiet. Will pack lunch for you. David- USA

We stayed here for a business trip.We were working until 1.30am arrived back to the b and b then .Myself and my husband were having a sandwich and tea in our room and chatting to each other about our days work etc , then a knock came on our door telling us to keep it down. KEEP IT DOWN??? It was the owner Norman. So we pay for our own room and are not allowed to chat to each other in our own room? I confronted Norman only to be told the guests will complain.No guests where back in their rooms at this time I chatted to a few guests the next morning about this and they couldn't believe this. I stay in b and bs all over the country 3 times per week and I can honestly say this is the most unprofessional ran b and b I have encountered in 20 years. Imagine paying for a room that you cannot even talk in 😡😡 My guess is Norman's room was below us and he wanted to sleep so didn't want to hear a little chit chat 🙃My God imagine if any couple were getting romantic would that also be interrupted to keep it down 😂😂 I dread to think . I wouldn't like to see what happens when any lads or women stay with a few drinks on them and are having a laugh .I also run a business and never write bad reviews as I've been lucky with all the amazing b and bs I've stayed in , but this was just an absolute joke and also interfered with our customer and guests rights.So if you want to book a room and be able to talk this is not the place to be 👍

I have stayed in blossom hill guest house quite a few times in 5 years and it's one of the best guest houses I have stayed in over the years and I have been to visit lots over 15 years Norman and his wife are lovely kind thoughtful people there's nothing to much trouble and this what's makes you feel welcome they're rooms are lovely and decorated and very warm only complaint they breakfast has dropped in good standards the full Irish breakfast his not has great has it used to be sausage and bacon tasted a little low in quality maybe the full Irish needs better quality on the plate sorry Norman dont take it very personally I just like tastey full Irish breakfast apart from this it's a wonderful bed and breakfast and a gorgeous area I recommend this bed and breakfast for a few days away
