第一次是六年前服務質量都非常好， 所以新冠之後來到愛爾蘭首選就是它， 可惜這一次的整個感覺和第一次差遠了，比較失望☹️……
首先房間裏面的無線網常常中斷或者是沒信號。打電話和前台聯繫給到我們的回覆，居然是説在鄉村裡信號不好。現在科技已經那麼發達了，這樣的理由實在太牽強了。
其次是房間裏沒有飲用水沒有了， 請服務員送水，結果服務員讓我們自己去拿，這是一個星級的酒店該有的服務嗎？
理解店家用手寫的菜單來表示他們的高大上，可是整個菜單的字體讓人非常難於閲讀， 密密麻麻的，看的人頭暈。不是那種讓人舒服，明瞭的字體和排版。
既然是城堡酒店，就應該能夠讓人周圍走一走。 六年前是可以的，現在很多地方都圍了門欄。根本無法去走看。

So much fun. Brian is a great character! Lots of local knowledge at the Proseco welcome party. Dinner was delicious and what a fun place to spend the night.

This has been one of the most unexpected places I've ever been. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and from the moment we arrived to the sad moment we departed we were treated like friends rather than tourists by the owner Brian. We stayed in the Clifden suites which comprised of a bedroom and adjoining sitting room which were comfortable and well appointed and had a beautiful view. There was entertainment every night we were there and the food was top class especially the fish dishes which were based on locally sourced produce. We cannot express how happy and friendly the staff of the hotel were with a good mix of ages amongst them which was good to see, each willing to stop and have a chat. For those amongst you interested in the decor, it's a 19th century building full of brown furniture which is very comfortable and just adds to the charm of this building. It's warm in all aspects of the word, full of charm and it's a place I'll return to again. Thanks to the Hughes brothers and staff for making our anniversary so special we certainly won't forget it and wish you all the best of luck for the future.

Stayed with a group. Arrived after long day, warm Irish welcome, excellent dinner and service. Lovely four poster bed, views of Wild Connemara, a parrot @reception. We had a ball and were sorry to leave.

We got a deal with Rory’s Travel club and it was very pleasant .The hotel has an old world feel but the room are very spacious and modern but with old style flare . We had a superior room and it was very comfortable .The only issue I had was the placement of the hand rails in the bathroom , badly placed and of no benefit getting into or out of bath ! shortage of hooks to hang your towel at sinks , also shower seal needs replacement as leaking water when shower on . 5 course dinner included and it was delish , great food , well presented and lovely friendly staff .Ronan the owner was very present and it was nice to see him mingle with the guests . A nice touch with a champagne reception before dinner and Ronan gives a brief outline of all the local points of interest and some info re the origins of the hotel . He also provides you with a photo of yourself , which is available at dinner . Music was provided during dinner and in the bar afterwards Breakfast was nice .. I love when a hotel have a menu so you can have it freshly made and not a Buffett .. so bonus points for that ! A nice hidden hotel

Every review that speaks to the personalized attention from the owners/employees of this hotel is 100% accurate! We were there for two days of our week in Ireland celebrating our 30th anniversary, and we purposely chose this special place for the anniversary itself, which I had communicated to the hotel. We arrived to find out that we had been upgraded to a suite, and that night we were presented with a special dessert after the delicious dinner we had at their restaurant. Additionally, when I happened to meet Ronan at the front desk when I was inquiring about oyster farm tours, he picked up his phone and called the local farm and arranged for us to have a tour the next day. We truly loved everything about our stay at this special place!

All the reviews point to one conclusion. This is a very special place. not just because the Hotel, bedrooms, food, location & setting are perfect. What separates this from many other good hotels is the hands on attention from Brian, Ronan and the excellent staff. Its hard work to make eveyone feel special -every day. I've experienced their care in difficult times and their welcome recently to our group of oldies. Many Irish people know this hotel. If you are reading this from afar -just make sure you try and fit in the Abbeyglen. There is so much to do in the area too. Make sure you can spend time to savour Connemara. Dont rush it. This is a unique place to make as a base.

This is a lovely family-run guest house that is 7 minutes walk from the heart of Clifden. It has lovely spacious rooms throughout that are tastefully decorated. It is completely quiet and looks out on to water. A special place in heaven for owners who serve proper orange juice for breakfast. I had fresh hake most mornings. Am so glad, beans in tomato sauce are not provided. The Irish breakfast was wonderful with great ingredients along with other great options. This is our second time staying and two further things stood out this time: One, was the dedication of the owners to the place - especially Julia’s. This is something money can’t really buy. Two, the level of hospitality know-how within the - wider - family. Wonderful experience overall.
