Premier Inn Cobham

The location for my needs was ideal and the price was good. Plenty of parking and the hotel quite attractive. My welcome was quite underwhelming (no eye contact) - they also told me that I had included breakfast (I hadn’t). The room was ok - no A/C here but on the hottest day of the year to date it was reasonably comfortable. Ventilation in the bathroom was poor and the shower tended to spray the floor - I’m guessing that’s why some mould was evident. Otherwise pretty clean. The Chef and Brewer next door was ok, though service slow despite being empty (apart from the bar/pub) and one of the servers was complaining about her manager rather than the task in hand. Breakfast was ok ish but on the second day I realised that they stopped serving at 9am - wasn’t particularly clear and I’ve never come across such an early finish - especially as it was a buffet service. I would say that they could do better but would consider staying again.

We have been staying at the premier in cobham over a ten year period and in that time we have seen it slowly deteriorate. The rit has set in. Reinvestiment to make this place seem happy and alive. It’s well worn. It is dreary. Time to spend your money whitbreds and invest in your businesses not take it for profit. Mouldy bathrooms and all. Really on positive feedback just cons try tube criticism

When my wife and I booked in for a 3 night stay the card given to us with our key card stated breakfast mon-fri 6.30am - 10.30am. We were not invited to book a time. The next day we presented ourselves for breakfast at 8.50am. We were told that breakfast finished at 9.00 am and we could not be accommodated. I said that we only wanted a continental and was asked if I thought we could be finished in 10 minutes. Although I am in my 81st year I am still quite fit and so we walked just over a mile into Cobham for refreshment. I related the story to the receptionist who told us that the entry on the card regarding times should have been deleted. She did think that perhaps we should have been offered a meal. Even if I had been told that breakfast finished at 9.00am it would not have occurred to me that this meant the table had to be vacated by this time. We have used Premier Inn many times in the past and have stayed several times in Cobham but never again!

Absolute dump. From the moment I pulled up on the car park I knew I was in for a rough ride. The exterior was poorly maintained, grass and hedges hadn’t been cut in ages and the car park was very untidy overgrown too. The hotel reception un inviting and dingy, the bathroom ceiling covered in mould and the whole place is desperately in need of refurbishment. I have to use Premier Inn a lot for work and over the years they’ve gotten worse and worse, exactly the same way Travelodge went a few years ago. I’ve now checked into Ebbw Vale Premier Inn and it’s not much better so my next review will be for here.

We had one pillow each. Which needed two. The room needs a re paint, cleaning of the carpet and floors. Re seal needs to be done around the room. The door frame in the bathroom is hanging off at the top. We stayed in room 8. Either room 9 or above was having a busy night 3/4 rounds of bed shaking and women moaning/ screaming. Why put a couple next to family rooms. My 18 year old never slept at all. It had an impact on her. She said she never was to stay at a premier inn again! I would say the rating is a two star, as it needs a good clean and paint work done.

Dirty room, food on carpet, cobwebs between both bedside tables and walls. Room stank of Cigarette smoke, especially in bathroom and was told that people on first floor were smoking and that it was back feeding through the bathroom fan. One of many tired, dirty, poorly staffed Premier Inns, who send a blanket email response that reveals the futility of complaining. Disgusting.
