BEWARE Good reviews were in 2016!!! Stayed here Dec 2023 because there was no where else in Coffs available - should have kept driving to Grafton! Cockroach squished on the toilet wall - not removed by Manager as he said he would, when requested 5 hours ago. Needs a MASSIVE clean Flaking paint on ceiling and cornice Dirty grimy shower - sludge in the tracks Fan in toilet not working Security latch - BROKEN Door very difficult to open with the key!!! Next door struggled to open their door also. Smoke Alarm in ceiling half removed Nothing in fridge... no milk or a water jug and not defrosted. TV sits in front of the mirror!! Internet password doesn;t work - NO FREE INTERNET!!!! Smokers table outside door Privacy curtain missing Office supposed to be open till 9pm - was closed and locked up when I went to complain AGAIN about the cockroach at 7.15pm I could go on. Depressing Keep driving. Worst $363!!!!! ever spent.

Ok for a cheap one night stay over , the bed and bedding looked clean, fresh white sheets and the bathroom looked ok. However the motel reception looked like a bomb had gone off crap on every flat surface, in the room the kettle top was thick with dust and crumbs in the microwave didn't instill you with confidence as to general tidiness. My biggest issue however was the fact it is right on the Pacific Highway to a point were you thought trucks were driving through the bedroom, worst nights sleep on our months tour. But end of the day we paid 120aud , 60 quid so you get what you pay for I suppose.

We stayed in this motel on the way to Brisbane. Upon entering the room we found that the carpet had not been vacuumed but could overlook this so dropped our bags and went for tea. On return we went to use the shower which had recently been renovated and looked nice. Apparently the cleaners couldn’t be bothered picking up the used soap on the floor. Time for bed and when we pulled back the covers it was apparent that the sheets had not been changed as there was dirt on the sheet and it was all ruffled up as if it had been slept in. We don’t recommend this place and as there are multiple venues in Coffs, please avoid this one!

Wifi didn’t work was told something about possible work being done. Perhaps turning on the router would have worked 🤷🏼‍♂️ The bathroom was very dirty it needed a good clean as there was mould. The whole place is dated and needs a good clean and paint job. There is a positive: Shower had great water pressure. Good Chinese next door. Won’t be back.

I booked a Family Ground Floor room at the Chelsea Motor Inn, Coffs Harbour in November 2022 and was grateful to get somewhere we could stay for 1 night as a break in our drive up to Brisbane to visit family. I was also happy to get a ground floor room, as I have a disability where my mobility is lessened due to surgeries to my feet. I also find it difficult to walk up a flight of stairs. Our stay at the motel on December 27, 2022, started out on a bad note. We arrived to find that the family room which I had booked on *********** was being renovated (and had been so for 3 months!) A few angry words were said by my partner. The owner mentioned that he had contacted *********** about it. Why didn’t they contact me about it? They deducted $160 off our bill. The owner offered another room upstairs and we reluctantly took it as we knew that there weren’t many vacancies in Coffs Harbour, let alone for one night. My partner helped me to get up and down the stairs. The room was average, but we were only staying for one night. The kids were happy as they had their own room. The mattress on the queen size bed was something that I can liken to a sunny side up egg - cooked on the outside and soft on the inside. My back felt the pain the next morning. We hit the road for Brisbane and stayed for a week with family. While in Brisbane I rang the Chelsea Motor Inn to confirm that the room that I had booked in November was ready for our stay when driving back to Sydney. The person I spoke to on the phone said that it had. Our Brisbane holiday was complete, and we drove back to Coffs to stay the night. And yes, the room was available… newly renovated. It suited us for the one night. Negative aspects of the room: • even though we used the air conditioning, the ceiling fan had an immense amount of visible dust • no mirror in the bathroom, or anywhere for that matter • the noise of the trucks and 'hoons' along the highway Positive aspects of the room: • the supply of plates, cutlery, glasses etc for our dinner (we had very minimal supply in our last room) • the owner came to our room after we had checked in to apologise to us about the last stay In total, we spent $1160 on our accommodation. I understand that tourism places are wanting to get people back travelling but after experiencing this at an average motel, I will re-think our future trips.

Disappointing that this was advertised on the website/motel screen page and internet as 24hr checkin only to hone and be told it wasn’t Was looking for accomodation late at night when travellers felt to tired to continue on road
