The Harbor Rose

Location was beautiful and room was adequate. They had coffee but the creamer was soured and when I asked for something else I was told I would have to wait until the proprietor was awake (this was at 7:30am which was really 8:30 since we had just turned the clocks back) I never got any creamer. Also the hairdryer didn’t work and there was no one to ask about getting one that did work. We left early to get coffee. For the money I would say not worth it.

From the moment my husband, pup and I arrived at theHarbor Rose we felt welcomed and part of the family. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. Coffee and tea were always available which was nice because the weather was cool and rainy. I would highly recommend staying at the the Harbor Rose and we will again the next time we pass through the area.

We stayed at the Harbor Rose while visiting family in Queens. An oasis just outside the city. The rooms are immaculate, atmosphere calm and welcoming, and the breakfast goodies were delicious. We would certainly recommend to anyone visiting the city.

I stayed in the Vanderbilt Room. The place is spotless! The bed was super comfy and the marble bathroom with high pressure rainfall shower felt like a spa. Deirdre the host’s homemade vegan muffins were so scrumptious, and there’s always a variety of coffee and tea and a Nespresso machine in the lobby. Cold Spring Harbor State Park is next door, and West Neck Beach and Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve are close by. It was just the peaceful and relaxing getaway I needed. Thank you, Deirdre!

Very relaxing stay with great accommodations. Deidre was super welcoming, attentive and friendly. The home baked goods for breakfast were amazing. There is a nearby hiking trail accessible on property. Looking forward to another stay in the future.

The Harbor Rose is a wonderful getaway! I took my wife here for her birthday with our 2 year old son. Deirdre was so nice and accommodating. The rooms are all different and special in their own way. The house is immaculately kept and the grounds are enjoyable as well. The location is just across from the bay and very close to many attractions. We arrived to a warm welcome with a couple of grab and go style snack bags. The muffin was literally just made (still warm) and delicious. Coffee, tea, beer, wine and champagne are all available gratis when you walk in! The water is alkaline and very tasty as well. Deirdre is a nutrition specialist and we purchased her book on good health and quality eating habits. I’m a sucker for a great bathroom, and the Vanderbilt room delivered. The shower is really large and has some really cool features without having a shower curtain to deal with! All in all, a great place and great stay. Book here- you won’t be disappointed.
