All good

Not coming back. It was very dirty. Smelled really bad. Super out dated. Broken blinds, lights didn’t work. Paid way too much for the room’s quality.

Birch Hill Suites Columbia, MO Great help and friendliness from the front desk staff but the hotel was extremely dirty, smokey, broken fans etc.... The hall way was dirty and smelly. I would not recommend this place to anyone even if it was free. This hotel should be torn down. I don't think you can even remodel this place that's how bad it is...

Didn’t like it

They canceled my reservation one hour before I drove in from out of town. They said they were overbooked during some renovations that they had going on.

Staff was very friendly and made you feel like you were a guest in their home. Porperty was busy, parking was available, several restaurants nearby.

Hotel staff could have done better! Room was not clean- in terms of several patches on the wall repaired but not painted to match the rest of the walls, one light fixture were missing bulb in both sockets. There’s a big gap between the floor and the room enterance door. Smoke alarm was covered in plastic bag. I noticed a newer alarm on the wall- at least take the old one out and patch up the hole, to match other patches! When I first enter the hotel, there were a strong smell of smoking. When I got to my floor, the smell is still around but less. I noticed there were a lot of people living at this hotel as it is an “extended stay”. The receptionist was so nice and sweet but I would not go back there.

If I had time, I would have found a different hotel. The room smelled horrible. There was trash on the floor. There was trash on the bathroom floor along with a bunch of hair. There was hair on a pillow too. Even the entrance doors to the hotel were in need of cleaning. It could be a decent place, if under different management. If my kids had been with me, we definitely would have gone somewhere else.

Stayed one night had crumbs on floor. Gave benefit of doubt came back to a moldy room they swapped only to find a needle. Stay at your own risk. There is another choice property that i enjoyed. The fact then they want to argue and offer 25 percent off. Trust me i stayed for my points, i dont care aboit the discount.

The staff at the front desk was very helpful and tried to help accommodate our last minute trip. They allowed us to look at the room before completing the booking and thank goodness. There were visible footprints all over the floors in the hallway. The doors and walls had grime & marks everywhere. They mentioned they did not have housekeeping staff at the moment. It was filthy and my standards are not high. We left and got a room at Super 8.

Not exactly like home, but it’ll do I must say, considering the number of turnovers on ownership and management, and the class of the majority of people staying here are amongst the homeless variety, the ladies running it do a great job at keeping things in order and in line, despite the nature of most of the unruly guests. Definitely have seen a few roaches, but nothing extreme.

Immediately upon entering the building, we noticed an incredibly strong smell of pot. The rooms were not in great condition, many cabinets and drawers falling apart. My room was clean but the second room (for HS students) had numerous roaches in it. The staff didn’t seem concerned about this. Also, their smoke detector was hanging by its wires in the ceiling. Thankful for the value stay and friendly staff but I’ll look elsewhere in the future.
