Hotel Riu Papayas - All Inclusive

We stayed here as a family of 5 (adults) returning back home two days ago. We all had a lovely time . The hotel itself was clean, rooms spacious and everything very well kept. Staff always friendly. Food in the main restaurant was great - lots of choice at both breakfast and dinner. I’m sure lunch was the same although we didn’t eat at lunchtime. We ate at both the themed restaurants. The Asian one, Zhu, was lovely. We really enjoyed our meal there. The other, Ole, a Spanish themed restaurant, in our opinion wasn’t particularly great. We didn’t enjoy the food as much as the Asian restaurant or main buffet restaurant. In my opinion the pool isn’t big enough to accommodate the size of the hotel and its subsequent number of guests, it felt really crowded at times. Sun beds were being reserved early by LOTS of people… we are early birds and were down by the pool by 8.30/9am and I would say even by then, 60% off beds already had towels over them. All in all, we had a lovely holiday. Really nice food and drink in plentiful supply, clean accommodation, beautiful weather and a week of proper family time. What’s not to love ❤️

Was really happy with the staff, the food was excellent as was the pool area. The entertainment team was very good however some of the evening guest entertainment was a bit dated.. overall, me and my family had a great time and would return to this hotel.

2 nd visit two years running , now this review is from my own exp and how as a family we found it overall . Bedroom , 6th floor Very clean inside , nice big balcony , air con is fine but could be a little stronger , tv placed in middle of the room but does swivel for bed or sofa direction , the cleaners work very very hard so no probs there , the rooms esp the walls and ceilings looking tired , dogs and cracks in a lot of places not good enough for a 4star hotel . The lifts are all quick no issues there . The pool area is always clean and tidy , would get down early to put towels on beds although not chaotic . The pool is lovely , little small but fit for purpose , no air beds allowed in pool so don’t pack them . This year the food we felt was good , plenty of choice however my daughter and other family members did suffer at both ends for a few days esp my daughter def food poisoning , had cleaners on 24 /7 call-out being sick everywhere , little of everything seems fine instead of piling the plate with the one thing . Highly recommend the Asia restaurant , book that at reception and u won’t be disappointed , the Spanish restaurant I would not even go there , worst place ever to eat unless u love fish . Hardly nothing to choose from buffet and only 3 dishes hot to order , meat came out raw and bloody , many many people all left quick . Entertainment we feel is poor esp the acts they bring in , the on site entertainers much better , very disappointing overall with that considering the cost . The hotel in general very clean and staff friendly , look close enough u feel the whole place needs a good bit of filler and paint on surfaces , noticed a lot more cockroaches this year too at night . Drinks are fine but can be too strong , the Dunas bar but much better quality drinks and atmosphere . Overall great exp , would I go again prob not as we been twice , great location for the beach

Nos alojamos mi amiga y yo de martes a viernes. Íbamos con la idea de descansar pero, tras ver toda la oferta de actividades no nos pudimos resistir. Todo el equipo de animación fue fantástico.

Viajamos en familia con mis tres hijos y fue fantástica la estancia . Un trato formidable de todo el mundo que trabaja allí. Destacaría la limpieza y comodidad de las habitaciones y sobre todo la variedad y oferta de la restauración . Todo buenísimo . Han sido unos días estupendos Quizá la única pega , aunque no es negativo es la distancia a la playa , hubiéramos ido más si la hubiéramos tenido más cerca

Ten hotel został nam polecony w biurze podróży, wiedząc że jesteśmy imprezowiczami zaproponowali nam ten hotel mówiąc że to tętniący życiem hotel... Byliśmy mega zajarani lecz od razu po przylocie zderzyliśmy się z rzeczywistością. W skrócie: praktyczne zero muzyki w ciągu dnia przy basenie (1h cichej muzyki z głośnika podczas jakiejś aktywności w basenie), wieczorami jakieś występy do 22 a po tej godzinie było słychać jak cykają świerszcze, zero muzyki, cisza grobowa. Ludzie pokroju 60-70 lat + rodziny z dziećmi. Jedzenie bardzo monotonne, tylko zmieniali ustawienia i co drugi dzień było to samo, tylko we wtorki było bardziej różnorodne jedzenie w momencie kiedy przyjeżdżał nowy turnus z turystami a stary wyjeżdzał. Obsługa nawet chodziła i kazała wyłączyć muzykę która leciała z telefonu dlatego że innym gościom to przeszkadza, atrakcji w hotele prawie zero, więc jeżeli ktoś to czyta i akurat jesteś energiczną osobą, lubisz dobrze się bawić, poznawać nowych ludzi itp to naprawdę nie wybieraj tego hotelu. Jedna wielka nuda. Gdyby nie to że mieliśmy samochód i wieczorami wychodziliśmy sobie do barów to byśmy umarli z nudów.
