Vista Lago di Como

The hotel location was excellent, the suite we had was large and lovely overlooking the water. The absolute best part of the hotel experience was Concierge Alberto and his amazing team who started attending to our every need and even stupid questions even before our trip started. Marta and Illaria were awesome and went above and beyond to make our stay amazing- from helping with cars, restaurants, advice and more. The all day guided tour with Alberto “the one” experience was the hilight of our trip. Would highly recommend! To be fully balanced- although service was really great throughout we didn’t love dinner at the restaurant. Not bad just not memorable or as good as more traditional meals we had. Breakfast spread was fantastic and again staff very kind and attentive throughout.

This hotel and its staff are magnificent. Part of the SLH group our expectations were high and not to be disappointed. We arrived by car from Florence and were greeted by Alberto the hotel concierge/butler who was most welcoming. The room we were given (200) was a Premium King room with a most spacious and beautifully appointed room. The bed was very comfortable and we had a pillow menu to choose a selection to suit. The bathroom was large with a great shower and luxurious bath. We were given many welcome treats and my wife had a birthday for which the hotel gave a beautiful cake and special wishes. The hotel is well positioned to explore the Como area right near the ferry terminal, and easy walk to all of the Como shops and restaurants. We took a tour offered by the hotel to visit Bellano and some of the less common tourist sights, Alberto accompanied us and was our guide and we had a very luxurious chauffeur. We visited the Carozzi cheese factory which was a highlight. We stayed four nights and every moment we were made to feel like important guests. We dined at the Sottovoce restaurant which was definitely worthy of its Michelin star, and the best meal we have had in over 3 weeks of traveling. Would recommend this hotel as 5+ stars Luxe, remembering that it is a small hotel and does not have facilities that might be expected in a large 5* hotel. The experience of staying at the Vista Lago di Como was perfect. Although located in the heart of the busy tourist area of the lakefront, it felt like a calm oasis to be savored. The service was excellent, and every person was attentive and friendly at every turn. We especially enjoyed lunch in the hotel restaurant overlooking the lake. They helped connect us with other restaurants and fun experiences as well. I would highly recommend staying here, especially as a first-time welcome to the city of Como

Do not stay at B&B Vista Lago in Como, Italy. While a guest and celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary, our cash was stolen from the locked safe in our room om 24 May 2025. Facts: (1) The morning of 24 May prior to leaving for our day long excursion, we locked our Euro along with the US$ cash in the safe in our room using our pin code. (2) Upon returning to Vista Lago that evening, after opening our locked safe, we discovered the contents had been rearranged and, much to our absolute shock, our Euro and US$ were gone. (3) I immediately called one of the Vista Lago staff to report the shocking incident, in which he immediately denied that such a thing could have happened. The morning of 25 May, after losing a night’s sleep over this disturbing situation, my wife and I met with the manager of Vista Lago, and explained the facts stated above. His response was basically “lip service” and denied that such an incident of theft as factually described above could ever happen at Vista Lago. He stated that it was just our word against Vista Lago and asked on what basis he should believe us. My response was “our word, our personal integrity and our personal accountability; and what benefit would be achieved by us lying about such a disturbing incident.” The final word from the manager at Vista Lago received on 6 May 2025 was for him to deny any responsibility on Vista Lago’s behalf for the theft. I have now filed a report with the Como Police Dept.

What a wonderful experience at the Vista Lake Como. Beautiful property meticulously maintained in a great location with a true 5 star service experience. We experienced a serious health challenge while there and the General Manager Christina and her team were so gracious and helpful. Specifically Alberto went above and beyond to help us navigate getting appropriate care. Highly recommend this luxury boutique property and brand. Having stayed also at their sister property the Vista Verona they are truly special properties .
