Almijara Residence

As the title says this was a perfect stay in Cómpeta. Maurice is a wonderful host and chef - he made a vegan breakfast for me on request, which was delicious. The B&B is right in the centre of town, just next to the main square. The location is perfect and provided a great base for my short stay in town. The communication before check-in was spot on, as was the check-in experience itself. Within 5 minutes for arriving in town I was greeted by Enca (who is lovely) and shown to my room. The room is small but had everything I needed. The bed was great and I slept soundly both nights. The room had a small Juliet balcony, not enough space to sit outside but great to have this open in the evening before heading out looking down at the vibrant terraces of the restaurants in the square. And with the balcony door shut the room was nicely soundproofed, giving the best of the both. Maurice cooked breakfast in the morning, which was served on the room terrace and he is such a friendly and helpful guy - a real wealth of local knowledge and genuinely wanted to share this and help his guests have the best experience. I would highly recommend Almijara Residence to anyone visiting Cómpeta.

Had a wonderful stay at almijara residence, our host Maurice could not have done more for us, his breakfasts were superb, a different dish everyday, beautifully presented, usefull info on local area and resteraunt recommendations, would love to stay here again in the future

The Almijara Residence is a gem! The owners and hosts, Maurice and Paul, have created a chic and beautifully appointed place to stay, overlooking a pretty square in the heart of Cómpeta. Our room was delightful; light and airy, with a small balcony overlooking the square, and very comfortable bed. Sumptuous breakfasts were made for us every morning by Maurice and served on the roof terrace, which has beautiful views over the town and surrounding countryside. Without doubt an exceptional place to stay.

Full marks to Maurice and Paul at Almijara Residence in Cómpeta. They raise the game for other B&Bs in the area. The Residence itself is a beautifully refurbished town house and we recommended it to friends visiting the area They were delighted with the high standard and comfort of the accommodation and we were fortunate to join them for one of Maurice’s stand- out breakfasts. Highly recommended as a base to explore the beautiful Axarquia.

This is the 3rd time we stayed and, as usual, it was brilliant. Maurice was extremely helpful and the rooms, food etc was all fantastic. Would highly recommend this hotel. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ it is also a perfect location right in the Plaza Almijara - main square.

Je word elke ochtend verrast met een super ontbijtje door Maurice samengesteld .verder een .leuk dakterras met bar waar we genoten van het uitzicht.kamer was schoon en elke dag grote handdoeken erbij.Maurice gaf veel informatie over de omgeving en het dorp. Wij zijn 8 dagen in goede handen geweest..Nogmaals dankjewel Maurice Baike dankie Paul en Silvia
