Have stayed at the Spillover close to 20 nights over the last 5 years approximately. Since our stay last winter they replaced the carpeting in the rooms with vinyl plank flooring. Great move, huge improvement. The rooms are always immaculate. Especially the bathrooms. Also have great water pressure and lots of hot water. The staff has always been extremely helpful. In fact they just shipped us an item we left behind. They called us right away to let us know and made arrangements to ship it. It would have taken an 11 hour round trip for me to go back to get it. They didn't charge me anything extra over the cost of shipping. I told them I was okay with paying for the service but they didn't charge me. Now who does that in 2025??? Only the Spillover. We will definitely be returning next winter for our annual ski trip to Sugarloaf which is a ten minute ride. Also, there's a very well equipped community kitchen that is available for all guests to use. Eating out every meal every day gets old so this is a huge plus. The Spillover is one of the best values in the great state of Maine. Thanks for going above and beyond.

I've been staying at the Spillover Motel for years. They've done many nice updates to the rooms. It's always clean, and the staff is very friendly. The coffee is tasty, there's a small but good assortment of fruit, pastries, etc. The price is reasonable.

We love the Spillover Motel! We've been staying here for the past 5 years during our annual ski trip to Sugarloaf. It's the perfect value! The prices are reasonable for a ski resort area and it's only a 10 minute drive to the mountain. The rooms are super clean, attractively decorated, and relatively large for this type of place. Every staff member was friendly and very welcoming. We love the well-stocked community kitchen. It's a great way to save some money by preparing most of our own meals as well as to interact with some of the other guests. Eggs and English muffins are available (to cook for yourself) as well as granola bars, packaged pastries, juice and coffee. There's also an outstanding restaurant right next door. A great overall vibe! We've already booked our room for next year.

I was at Sugarloaf for a meeting, but I needed an option for just one night and not multiple and Spillover seemed to be the perfect option. I spoke to someone over the phone to originally book the room and she was very helpful and courteous. I had seen that check in was 3-7 and to let them know if I would be later than that. So checked in right at 3PM (again, the young woman at the front was very nice) and basically through my things in the room and left for the meeting. The meeting was at the mountain and the hotel was VERY close to the mountain. I didn't get back until 9PM and I had to be up at 5 (before the office opened). At 5:30 AM, I realized the room did not come with a hairdryer. That would be that only complaint of the room. The room was very clean. Nothing fancy, but just what I needed for one night. But I never even thought to check for a hair dryer (I haven't been in a hotel in a LONG time that doesn't have a hair dryer). I wish I had known that I should have brought one. But I would definitely stay again. And I even told my husband that we should come up this summer with the dogs (LOVE that. you allow dogs), to hike some trays and go to the Coplin restaurant.

My family stayed here over New Years Eve while skiing at Sugarloaf. We had two rooms - a king suite and a room with two doubles. The suite had a microwave and fridge. The rooms were very clean with good space for luggage and ski storage. We only used the available kitchen in the basement of the motel once to make some of the provided English muffins one of the mornings we were there. It's a neat kitchen/lounge area fully stocked with cooking gear if you want to use it, and there are couches and games. There is a pricy, but decent restaurant right next door to the motel (Coplin House).

The rooms here are immaculately maintained, well furnished and comfortable. I had a great night’s sleep! The office staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer fresh coffee, fruit and pastries in the morning. They also have small selection of pop, beer and snacks. There are good restaurants nearby. This is truly a hidden gem!

This is a most unusual and excellent place to visit. Incredibly nice people run the place, Atchy (spelling?) Mike and Killian were all awesome people. The morning coffee is probably the best I have found at any hotel....I think it was Wicked Joe, or something like that. And they have a free to use kitchen that was stocked with basics likes eggs and English muffins. The beds were super comfortable, the room clean and modern and the place is QUIET! And there is an excellent, pretty hi end restaurant about 150' from the hotel. I had excellent meals there. I look forward to returning to the spillover.

A very clean and comfortable room, comfortable beds, small table and two chairs as well. Small sized bathroom but more than adequate. Common room is a nice perk so you fix a meal if desired. Large open grounds around the motel. Grill and picnic tables available too.

Very sweet young man on the desk, very helpful. Room clean and comfortable as well as attractive. Lavender room spray a nice touch. No hair dryer or iron in the room but they found me an iron. Communal kitchen a lovely idea, but a bit dark and musty.
