The location is stunning, the rooms are beautiful, the food is so good and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. This is our second visit to Liss Ard Estate but it has been renovated since our last stay and the improvements are noticeable. We stayed two nights recently and had such a relaxing time. Some highlights were the view from our room overlooking the garden, the peacefulness of the yoga studio down at the lake, dinner and the delicious cocktails at the bar. There is lots to do on the property and plenty of cool places to explore so you don't even have to leave if you want to kayak, hike, swim or exercise. This is a really special place and I really hope to go back again soon. Special thanks to Anna for being so welcoming.

We loved staying at Liss Ard Estate. The suite was wonderful and catering was extraordinary. We booked so we could experience the James Turrell Sky Garden but we adored everything about our visit and wished we could have stayed longer!

We stayed in Liss Ard Estate to celebrate a significant birthday. Our entire experience from arrival to departure was amazing! Charlotte and Irene on reception team are super welcoming, helpful and the very kind birthday wishes were immediate. Our room and bathroom were both splendid and luxurious and the surprise gifts requested by family members were all beautifully displayed in the room. We were joined by friends (a party of five) for dinner and the attention to detail and thoughtfulness of restaurant manager Conor and his team (Vanessa & Luis) were exceptional and so much appreciated. The dinner was simply superb with each of our party praising the outstanding quality of their chosen dish. Compliments to the Chef. After dinner drinks from the bar were a delight as was Eddie, the super efficient and super pleasant barman. We enjoyed some tunes on the beautiful baby grand piano available to guests and which one of our party was able to play. Delightful! Breakfast was wonderful as was the most pleasant, happy smiling waiter Gabor. Before leaving, we visited the grounds, sky garden and took a little trip on the boat on the lake. The sauna and gym overlooking the lake are stunning. Liss Ard Estate is a magical place with exceptional staff. We will be back but they're will be more of us next time. We thank you all most sincerely for making this significant birthday Spectacular! Margaret

HIGHLY recommend making the drive to Liss Ard. Accommodations are amazing and acreage is truly magical. They take impeccable care of the property, the staff is helpful, respectful, and attentive, and the drive to neighboring villages was minimal. Would certainly stay here again!

Lage des Hotels exzellent. Unser Zimmer (eins der größeren) war riesig, ruhig und sehr schön. Lounge und Bar ansprechend. Restaurant nur wie ein Bistro. Dinner mittelmäßig; Frühstück eine Katastrophe. Insgesamt etwas in die Jahre gekommen und nicht mehr den Niveau eines Relais & Chateaux Hotel entsprechend.

The most expensive lunch I've ever had, 35e plus for mains 12e extra for a few small potatoes, 5e for a very small americano and insult to injury 2.58e for half carafe of "special" water...I asked for plain ! The food I ordered was tasty Unusually quiet considering it was bank holiday sunday Friendly staff but I won't be returning. Joan Tynan

Incredible property and grounds with the potential to be a spectacular destination- but let down by the absence of any identifiable management presence or structure and an undertrained staff. Think we received a total of 11 emails, 5 text messages and 3 phone calls- prior to arrival - most of which were to confirm the already confirmed! Staff are super nice, but hopelessly untrained. There was no sign of any manager throughout the stay. There seems to be no plan or structure- with it being haphazard. Rooms in main house and adjoining buildings are super - very well appointed - but lacking in five star standards - no dressing gowns / tv worked intermittently/ hot water went awol / no drinks bar. Food was superb - but a little repetitive. Disappointing absence of locally sourced / promoted offerings. It’s far from cheap and there is plenty of better competition in Ireland at these prices. Being so remote it needs to up its game in order for people to make the journey. It has the potential to be something really special - but it’s currently falling short.

Stayed for two nights in the main house. Lovely large and well appointed room located up a set of stairs. Although the hotel was full, it was very relaxed and quiet. Staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. The main house is stately and formal, but in a relaxed style. Lovely bar room adjacent to a lounge with a wide selection of books and classic albums and a turntable. A second lounge was available so plenty of space to spread out. The grounds were lovely - we were there on a wet and cloudy day and made use of the complimentary golf carts available to explore the estate. The sky garden is truly remarkable and we wish the skies were clearer during our stay. One of the highlights was the bar and the bar staff - high quality cocktails made by staff who were happy to discuss the finer points of cocktails. If we had a criticism it would be about the arrangements for breakfast. The charges for continental and cooked weren't as clear as they could be - the continental option was very limited and not really worth the cost, while the cooked options were delicious. Drinks (coffee, juices etc) weren't cheap. This jarred with the test of the hotel offering and seems and area where some improvement could be made.
