I hate to write a bad review but if this helps just one person avoid a horrible experience…. Stayed for one night. When we walked in, it smelled as though someone Smoked in the (non smoking) room everyday for a year straight. I wiped every surface with Lysol wipes; after using 20 they still came out black. The room was full of ants, too many to count. The sheets were very stained and didn’t fit the bed; the bottom sheet was so small it didn’t cover the mattress. Gross. I could go on. My husband wanted to sleep in the car. He was right. I’d give this zero stars but the app won’t allow. In this case, it should.

This motel was exactly what you would expect from an older motel off a highway. It was clean and the grounds were very nice. The furniture was dated. The hot water was great! The sink area was okay. Microwave, television, and refrigerator were very handy. Nearby high end bakery and light fare.
Needs a vending machine for water, soda, and snacks. Ice would have been good to have as well-maybe a central vending area could be created.

Carpets not vaccumm, fridge I two rooms were moldy. Had to clean. Beds are hard as a rock. Rooms smell musty.

I was a little disappointed to find out that they gave my king reservation away. My husband and I were there for our anniversary, and we had a two (small) bed room instead of one queen.

The other reviews aren't fair or true. This place is within minutes of the Appalachian Trail. If you want a basic room for a day hiking weekend, this is a good choice.
