1. Checked in and we were told the hotel was 70% occupied. We had a beautiful room with views over a derelict buildings. When we queried this we were told that it was the category we had booked. We did not see a room selection that mentioned derelict buildings! We were offered to change rooms two days before we checked out. 2. There are 7 restaurants advertised on the hotel website, however, there was only one restaurant open at lunch time during our stay. 3. In addition to this, in the evenings, there was only a maximum of 3 restaurants available. 4. There was very poor waiter service at the pool area. 5. On the hotel website 4 bars are advertised but we only ever saw a total of 2 open. 6. Poor entertainment for a hotel of this size and category. There was one act per night for a few hours which got rather boring. 7. Lack of bar facilities for residents in the evening. The Lobby Bar closely abruptly when there were a considerable amount of guests sitting around. 8. During our stay a male guest played the Lobby piano when the scheduled entertainment was on a break, in fact, the guest also played the piano with the entertainer. To thank the guest we purchased a drink for him which was added to our bill even though we were all inclusive. I mentioned this on check-out but I had to pay the €10.00. This hotel was highly recommended to us and we were very disappointed as above. We take several holidays a year to the Canaries, however, this was our first visit Fuerteventura. We felt very let down with the view from our room, the lack of restaurants open in the evening and one restaurant only being open at lunch time.

We have recently had a 10 night stay at Secrets Bahia Real, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Our sea view preferred club suite was exceptional with a huge lounge, bedroom (including a very comfortable bed/s and lovely linen), bathroom with whirlpool bath and amazing shower, plus a double size balcony with two bali beds. The food everywhere, including the Market Cafe, Seaside Grill and Speciality restaurants, was excellent. Breakfasts and dinner in the Market Cafe offered so much choice that it was hard not to have the oddest of food combinations on one's plate just because it was there :) With respect to the staff, they were all very friendly and attentive. I don't think we came across a single person who didn't make us feel welcome. The hotel facilities were also very good. We made use of the indoor pool for a pre breakfast swim and particularly enjoyed it when the water pumps came on at 9am Finally, it is worth mentioning how clean everywhere was. Everywhere was spotless with an army of cleaners working throughout the day. We were looking for a place to rest and relax and we definitely found it at Bahia Real
