Hotel Sassongher

Exceptional experience. This was my first trip to the Dolomites to ski and it surpassed all expectations. The staff at Hotel sassongher is simply one of the best I have ever experienced. They went above and beyond to not only ensure my stay at their hotel was perfect but they assisted me in planning my ski days, restauraunts and general info about the surrounding area. The breakfast buffett was exceptional as was the dinners in the evening. The hot tubs, saunas and spa were perfect after a day on the slopes. There was a piano bar with a singer every evening that was exceptional as was the bartender Saro. He is quite the character. Paula the consierge is simply the best! There was another young lady at the desk that i forgot her name that was extremley helpful in providing suggestions. The shuttle to town and to the ski slopes was perfect and flawless. Also the ski room with boot and glove dryers was top notch. On my last day i had to leave at 3 am to drive to Munich for my return flight to the states. There was a breakfast and snacks waiting for me at the desk for my journey. This was very thoughful and very much appreciated. Not only will I return but I will be bringing all my fiends as well.

I just finished a week long stay. I must say it was one of the most enjoyable expeiences I have ever had. From the moment i arrived to the moment I left i felt like they really valued my stay. The cutomer service was top notch and beyond anywhere i have ever travled. From the front desk staff to all the waiters, bartender (who is quite the character) to the awesome Concierge Paula. Everything was perfect! I injured my leg on my first day and Paula helped me plan my ski days to best avoid my limitations due to injury. The piano bar was quite relaxing and the singer was awesome. All meals were great and the suttle system was erfect to pick me up to go back and forth to the slopes. I also tremendously enjoyed the spa system and especially the outdor hottub overlooking the city. On the day i left i had to leave at 3Am to drive to the Munich airport and they had a breakfast waiting for me for my trip. I will 100% be back and bring my friends with me next time. Nach einer Pause endlich wieder hier gewesen , es war wie immer ein perfekter Skiurlaub . Und wenn man nach ein paar Jahren wiederkommt und trifft überall noch die vertrauten Gesichter , dann ist dies für mich eine super Auszeichnung für die Hoteliers dass Sie ihr hervorragendes Personal über Jahre halten können .Die Küche war wieder hervorragend , ein exquisiter Weinkeller erfreut das Herz des Weinliebhabers . Spa und Wellness umfangreich und wieder voll genossen . Super ist die Sauna auf dem Dach mit Blick übers Tal . In den hervorragenden Betten schläft man sehr gute , es ist absolut ruhig . Ich komme wieder .

The hotel is very smart and, although has a lot of rooms, never felt especially busy. It’s a 25-35’ walk to town (uphill on the way back) but the two helpful shuttle buses mean the only challenge is getting home from dinner. The gym and spa area and gym are large and excellent. Most importantly, all the staff were fantastically friendly and fell over backwards to look after you.

My experience at Sassongher Hotel was deeply disappointing, despite some positive aspects of the stay. I had previously been a regular guest at Kolfuschgerhof, but this time I decided to try Sassongher. While the hotel, room, and sauna were nice, one incident completely ruined my stay. The hotel failed to inform us that the check-out time was 10:00 AM. There was no prior notice or reminder, not even the day before. On the morning of our departure, we went skiing as usual, and despite the staff seeing us leave, no one mentioned the early check-out time. I assumed, as is common in many hotels, that check-out would be at 12:00 PM. While I was skiing, I received a call from my son, who informed me that the hotel was almost throwing us out of the room. When I returned to the reception, the staff member Annie was incredibly rude and aggressive. She even lied, claiming she had informed me about the check-out time. Then she said she had told my son, who is 24 years old and fluent in English. My son confirmed that she had never mentioned it to him. This lack of communication and unprofessional behavior was shocking and unacceptable. As a guest, I expect to be treated with care and respect, not pushed out the door because my “time is up.” Unfortunately, Annie’s behavior ruined what could have been a great stay. On a positive note, I want to thank Joan, Cha, Ibrahim, and the other employees who made our stay charming and pleasant. Even the owner took the time to personally say goodbye, which was thoughtful. But the actions of one staff member, Annie, completely spoiled our experience. I will never stay at this hotel again, and I hope they take steps to improve their communication and guest relations in the future
