PlayaOlid All Inclusive

Just got back after a 12 day stay here. Stayed at many 3 star hotels before and we're very easily pleased - not fussy at all. Food was great - couldn't complain at all. Standard 3 star food. Drinks were great (Sangria was amazing). Fizzy drinks are naff but I found the orangeade or lime and lemonade fine. Room was fine - large, clean and comfortable. Had a couple of days where we were missed out by the cleaning time but wasn't an issue, popped to reception for some clean towels etc. Sunbeds - no issue with these at all. Pool areas don't open until 10am which was a new one on me but I loved it and it worked well. It was May half term whilst we were there so very busy but we could easily get sunbeds in the afternoon after being out all morning. We liked it that there was a Lobby Bar as well as the Millennium bar which is where the mini disco and entertainment was. We went into the Millennium bar a couple of times but it was more based towards the kids so we would go to the lobby bar mainly. It was nice sat outside but we struggled abit when nearly everyone outside was smoking. To me, this was a standard 3 star hotel but unfortunately, we had a couple of issues whilst we were there which to me, brought it down to about a 2 star / 2.5 star. We had an incident where the heavy glass shower screen fell on one person in our party whilst showering. We asked at reception for a form to fill in or an accident book and were told we couldn't log it. We then asked if someone could repair it and was told it would be tomorrow now. I tried to emphasise that it wasn't safe but was basically told to 'go away and come back tomorrow'. The same evening, we went back to our room at about 10.30 and our room door was ajar and open - anyone could have walked in. I went to reception and asked if someone had been in our room and explained the door was open. I was told I was lying and nobody had been in our room. I said someone definitely has and I was told absolutely not. About 2 minutes late, another member of staff came to reception and said they'd asked a maid to go and look at the shower to see what had happened but they won't have left the door open. No apology for calling me a liar or anything. I asked if I could log this incident in case anything had been taken and I was told I couldn't. I therefore logged this with Easyjet as was getting nowhere the hotel. I always find that it's how situations are handled and this was handled appallingly - it really tarnished our holiday. The hotel advertise a courtesy room (nobody we spoke to at the hotel were allowed a late check out). On our last day, I used the courtesy room (photos attached) - it was absolutely disgusting. Black mould everwhere - no lock on the door and when you come out of the shower, there are urinals and toilets in front of you so you could walk out of there and see a man stood weeing. Our first impressions weren't great. Whilst spacious and fairly clean the room was very tired. The kitchen/living room area in particular was in need of refurbishment. That being said we all slept fine in the beds and the shower etc all worked fine. The food is not great. Several times we found that sausages weren't properly cooked. The staff weren't particularly bothered about it. However the kids always found something to eat, which is the main reason we went AI. I really didnt like the artificial grass around the pool. It wasnt particularly clean as people could eat and drink around the pool. However I appreciate that the artificial grass is less slippy than tiles. The staff were all polite and helpful. All in all this is a 3 star hotel. It's ok. Personally I wouldn't return.

Playaolid Apartments – I definitely recommend it! Staying at Playaolid was a really positive experience. As for a three-star hotel – the standard is really high. Service at the highest level – everyone is incredibly nice and helpful: from the cleaning ladies, through the reception, to the gentleman from the canteen, who greeted us with a smile every day. The food in the all-inclusive option was really very good, a mix of Spanish and British cuisine. The rooms are large, comfortable and very clean - the cleaning ladies come every day or every other day. The bartender Adrian deserves special mention – really warm, positive person. Always smiling, polite, remembers guests and infects with a smile. Out of all the bartenders, he also makes the best drinks. In my opinion, he is definitely the person who really raises the level of service in this hotel! I recommend Playaolid a lot. I will gladly come back here! 🍹

Fantastic cosy and safe place to stay in Tenerife. Fabulous location. Great food and drinks available all day. Entertainment every night in show bar or you can sit chatting in separate bar area. You will love this family run hotel if your couples or families or friends meeting up. Not rowdy hen or stag parties. If you’re looking at this hotel just book it. It’s close to bars and clubs. Close to beach. Bus stop is right out side and so is supermarket. Playa apartments are huge with tv that showed British channels to. We have travelled far and wide and would return here %100. Great value for money. Don’t expect 5 star it’s not billed as that (it’s reflected in the price also) but if you want to be safe and relaxed and have a lovely stay in Adele then take your family friends and in laws here. It’s up a small hill but most of Tenerife is due to its geographic shape…..rent a scooter to get about if you have people with mobility issues. Hotel will book for you on your arrival. It’s not really close to sea so if a stunning sea view is your thing it’s not for you. It’s incredibly safe and very cosy indeed. Breakfast is all singing English cooked and everything you need from toast cereal fruit yoghurts and all the cakes Nutella etc…..there’s a snack bar terrace lounge for anyone who doesn’t make breakfast that offered snacks burgers pizza and chips, sandwiches. We had cooked dinner here on Sundays and credible red wine stew on Tuesdays….I can’t comment if your vegan or veggie….entertainment was brilliant…Tina turner tribute, karaoke, circus act, singers, dancers, drag act (as we brits call it) something for everyone of all ages. You will love it here. BOOK IT

What a great time we had and would remember it the food was delicious the staff were great even the owner is there if you have any questions. It’s very clean and in a great place we will be back. Enjoyed the entertainment and lots of laughs and drinks it’s really great value for money.

Spędziliśmy w hotelu Playaolid aż trzy tygodnie w styczniu. Wybierając ten hotel należy mieć świadomość, że jest to właściwie najtańszy hotel all inclusive na południu Teneryfy w ofercie biur podróży. W związku z tym ciężko oczekiwać luskusowych warnunków albo wysokiej jakości jedzenia w tej cenie. Wystrój hotelu oraz czystość zdecydowanie nie są mocną stroną obiektu. Wyżywienie również jest przeciętne, nastawione głównie pod (bardzo góśnych) brytyjskich turystów, których w hotelu jest najwięcej. Największą zaletą hotelu są jasne, przestronne pokoje z ładnym widokiem i aneksem kuchennym. Często latamy na Wyspy Kanaryjskie, ale takiej przestrzeni jak w Playaolid nie mieliśmy w żadnym innym hotelu. Obsługa działa błyskawicznie. Kilka drobnych rzeczy zostało naprawionych od razu po zgłoszeniu, a to nie zdarza się często w hotelach. Playaolid oddalony jest 10 minut spaceru od głównej promanady łączącej wszystkie plaże kurortu. Jednego dnia warto przejść promenadą w prawo do miasteczka La Caleta (godzina spaceru), a kolejnego dnia promenadą w lewo do Los Cristianos (1,5 godziny spaceru). Po drodze fantastyczne widoki i piaszczyste plaże. W okilicy hotelu łatwo można znaleźć miejsce parkingowe, o które na Teneryfie bardzo ciężko. Pogoda w styczniu dopisała. Wróciliśmy spaleni słońcem. Osoby niewymagające będą bardzo zadowolone z wyboru Playaolid. My bardzo miło wspominamy pobyt i chętnie znowu wrócimy zimową porą.
