Come stay at our beautiful lakefront *the Crowned Shore Cottage* and enjoy all the local amenities! This family friendly cottage has 180 feet of lakefront directly on the lake and walkable to local stores & Pineview Highlands golf course, short drive to all the shopping and includes a dock to give you all the access to the beautiful Houghton Lake. The shoreline is shallow and rises up to a max of 4-5 feet at the end of the dock (about 100ft away!), young children can enjoy the sandy lakefront!The Space:With 180 feet of lakefront access and a large lawn, your family and friends can unwind and relax on this beautiful property. The DNR boat launch is just blocks away and you are welcome to use our dock to bring your boat during your stay! If you're here during the winter months the lake freezes over beautifully for snowmobiling or ice-fishing and there are ski venues and snowshoeing trails close by! The living area has a smart TV, sound bar and large sliding doors with a stunning view of the lake. The entire home has been recently renovated with updated finishings throughout. The kitchen has everything you need to get started including many small appliances like a Crock Pot, Keurig and drip coffee maker, toaster and blender. The bedrooms have full size closets in each one, as well as comfy beds to get some rest after a long day on the water. There is a washer and dryer available for you to use during your stay!Guest Access:The guests have access to the entire home, dock and yard but we have closed off the garage for owner use only. There is a large circular driveway that can accomodate 3-4 cars comfortably.The Neighborhood:The home is centrally located within walking distance to local shops. The majority of the area's shopping is around 1-2 miles away. The Pineview Highlands Golf Course is close-by as well as a movie theater, the boat launch and many local sites to see.Other Things to Note:We love pets, but ask that you leave them at home due to allergy restrictions of many guests. Please stay out of the garage since it is for owner use only. The fireplace is just for decoration, if you need to cozy up use the fire pit outside, but please make sure to clean up after yourselves!Please no smoking in or on the property. From mid-October to mid-May the grill, outdoor table and fire pit chairs are placed in storage to protect them from the winter elements.Out of respect to our neighborhood, no parties are allowed and quiet time begins at 10pm.Our cleaning staff needs time to clean up for our next guests so late checkouts will be charged a fee of $25. This adorable little cottage is just steps from Houghton Lake in the wonderful East Bay area. The cottage is clean, comfortable and has been renovated and updated over the last 2 years. It comes with everything you'll need for your lakeside getaway. You'll feel right at home the moment you arrive at the lakefront abode. Grab your bags from the car, get yourself situated and then start enjoying everything lake life has to offer! Moor your boat off of the small beach area that transitions to a smooth sandy bottom. Sit outside in the comfortable Adirondack chairs and enjoy the sunsets. Dine outside at the pub style table with 2 stools or the dining table with 2 benches that seats 4. In the winter you can walk right out onto the ice for fishing or to watch the snowmobiles and side by sides race on the track that's built every year around the time of Tip Up Town.Inside you will find 574 sq ft of living area featuring lake views from the living room and master bedroom. The master bedroom sleeps 2 in a queen memory foam bed while the second bedroom sleeps 2 in a full/double memory foam bed. The living room also has a Lazy Boy full sleeper sofa.Other comforts include air conditioning, free WiFi, 52" smart TV, family games and 2 comfortable sofas. The living room opens to the fully equipped kitchen where you will find updated appliances, counter space, Keurig coffee maker and a small table that extends to accommodate 4.Houghton lake has something for everyone! Both summer and winter sports, trail riding, mini golf, go carts, shopping, antiquing, dining, movies, coffee shops, ice cream shops, sweet shops and open air fruit markets. There are drinking/eating establishments very close as well as a meat market, ice cream shop, coffee shop and open air fruit market all within walking distance of the cottage.***There is a Ring security camera that covers the area outside of the front door and parking lot.
