The Villa Rose Hotel & V-Spa

Room was extremely warm with no aircon. Plumbing system kept us up all night as whenever any room near us flushed a toilet, it caused a 60 second fighter jet sound in our room. Doors at the end of corridor and in room next to us lacked a soft close - instead they slammed shut and at all hours of the night which led to 2 sleepless nights. Asked for a mud treatment at 4pm and was practically laughed by 3 staff members at the reception saying the spa closed at 5pm and there was ‘no chance’ even though it was vacant for our entire spa visit. I did receive a great Swedish massage from Naiomi. Over all, very poor. Unfortuantly will not return.

We had our wedding reception here on Friday. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better venue. From start to finish, the staff were absolutely incredible – so attentive, professional, and genuinely lovely to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly on the day. The food was simply outstanding – every single guest commented on how delicious it was! From the drinks reception food to the main course and even the even buffet, everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing – the team took care of every detail so we could just enjoy our night and soak in every moment. One of our favourite parts was the beautiful cottage and the gardens. It felt like something out of a fairytale – full of rustic character and warmth. The open lit turf fire added such a special touch. The gardens themselves were immaculate, filled with lush greenery, colourful blooms, and peaceful little paths to explore. If you're looking for a wedding venue where the staff go above and beyond and the food is out of this world, this is the place. Highly, highly recommended! We felt so well looked after and relaxed knowing we were in such capable hands. Thank you to everyone involved for making our day so special – we’ll never forget it! We eat in this lovely hotel every time we go north in Donegal. It never disappoints in food quality and freshness. On this occasion however, the waiter was a little inexperienced in how to be pleasant to patrons, most likely to lack of training or relatively new to position, its managements job to ensure customer satisfaction, this requires addressing. We normally leave a tip but not on this occasion, don’t let standards drop and get your 5 stars next time

We had a fabulous time at the villa rose hotel amazing customer service and the staff was amazing soo helpful. Then we had dinner at the hotel it was gorgeous Then we went to the spa it was amazing soo relaxing will highly recommend it . Definitely will be back 10 out of 10

Stayed for one night in Villa Rose in Ballybofey while on work duty in Donegal. Check in was efficient, great space in a very comfortable bedroom and service in the hotel top class. Used the pool facilities next door in Jackson's and overall top class stay.
