Isle of Mull Hotel and Spa

Very nice hotel, lovely rooms and facilities, excellent service from the staff. Spa facilities are nice but limited. We booked the hot tub in line with their policy but had an awkward exchange with some people who were in there who hadn’t booked. Also the sound proofing was not really up to standard - we were in a deluxe room and woken before 6am both days due to noise from the room next door.

Proximity to ferry port was key. Room was lovely w spectacular view of the water. Staff were all kind. Felt like a true escape from the world. Bit pricey, but worth it.

Simply wonderful hotel from the beautiful rooms to the delicious food and excellent service provided by all the staff. Fresh towels every day and complimentary mineral water and tunnocks caramel biscuits and chocolate teacakes. The views from the hotel are breathtaking and you have use of the pool and spa. I would highly recommend this hotel to families, couples and solo travellers alike. So much wonderful wildlife to see from the hotel - a sweet little seal popped up a few evenings to say hello. Nothing is too much for all the staff in the hotel no.matter their role. We had the most wonderful relaxing stay and we can't wait to come back. Thank you!

Struggles to justify its 4 stars. Great location but the rest average/good. As with many hotels, understaffed particularly at breakfast. Staff run off their feet - when will hotels learn that scrimping on staff does not save money, rather the opposite?

I’m not one for leaving a bad review, I’ve thought over the past couple of days about leaving one but I do feel asif people need to know what they’re handing money over for before visiting this hotel. We stayed here last weekend, on arrival everything was pleasant and then we saw our room which I would say was travel lodge standard (not worth the £250 we paid) I also advised the hotel I had a nut allergy apon booking.. when we got to our room there was a cake selection on our window with macaroons… which are made from almonds? But we got on with it, my husband disposed of the cakes. we went back upstairs to the restaurant for dinner and I ordered a burger to which the manager came out and told me I couldn’t have because it has nuts in it? I’ve never in my life came across a burger that contains nuts? The next day we visited the spa, which was absolutely disgusting. The pool was covered in grime with hairs floating about, flies floating in the water and piles of dirt caked on the pool floor. The saunas and steam rooms were also filthy, the changing rooms looked asif they’ve never been touched by a cleaner. It was just filthy… we actually went and paid to go to another hotel to get a shower to feel some sort of clean after this visit. Extremely disappointing, it did ruin our trip to Mull..

Lovely stay, helped by glorious weather. The staff were all extremely professional, friendly and could not fault them. The room was lovely, the most comfortable bed and wonderful views. We ate in the bar each night and couldn’t fault the food . My only criticism was the poor choice of Rose wine by the glass, just one, a Grenache and considering the range of reds and white wines, there needs to be more choice for us Rose lovers:) especially in the summer! Overall would highly recommend and for the bird lovers we saw a white tailed and golden eagle just 5 minutes drive from the hotel.:)
