Hotel de Paris

A group of us stayed here on a five-day holiday. Decor & lighting impressive. Impressive, historic hotel but inside modern, airy & easy to get around, a lift to all 3 floors, or steps are shallow so no problem up & down. Hygienic dispensers around, which we were pleased with for hand sanitization still. Rooms, lounge, toilets spotless, modern fixtures & fittings, with items for sale shown next to reception which has staff ready to help, plus a night porter here. Breakfast & evening meal has a variety to suit all, with the Chef giving adequate portions, 3-course dinner & a young serving staff eager, polite & efficient here. Pay extra for a supreme room, as it's worth it for amenities & views of seafront. Wheelchair accessible at the side door as steps & revolving door at front entrance. Bar staff cheerful & enough selection of ales, lagers, ciders, spirits & wines here with a bar & dining room having promenade & sea views with high ceilings for light. Assistant Manager Yasmin greets, informs & is "hands on" in reception, bar & admin. Value for money stay.

I run a small social club in the Portsmouth area and 17 of us stayed in the hotel 10th - 14th May with Alpha Travel,we all agreed that the hotel and staff was excellent, we would come again. My waiter Tom ( table 28 ) was very good, I am a picky eater and he had to put up with my food orders but he always did it with a smile

I could live here been and stayed In this hotel many times in the past just absolutely love the staff house keepers do marvelous job spot on food is always served really fast and effective tea coffee after dinner breakfast is always outstanding the best ever gorgeous hotel and sea front nothing is never a problem we never had any problems at all it's just a really fab hotel and hotel manager and staff they are the best receptionists well so friendly cant go wrong with them or the hotel or hotel staff. Just wish I could pack every thing up and move in to this hotel because I just love it so much and always sad to leave. Hotel spotless clean it pays of every time well done to you all massive massive credit. Thank you cant wait for the next return. Been to cromer and hotel de paris now at least 4 times coming back again in july 2025

Just back from a 6 night stay with Alfa. Hotel was very clean, warm and in the middle of a refurbishment. Room was very clean, fresh white towels daily, very hot room, had everything we needed as only used for sleeping but also very dated furniture. Staff were lovely and pleasant throughout our stay in every department. Restaurant was brilliant, cannot fault the food. It was so tasty and lots of choice everyday. The vegetarian meals were delicious too. Exterior is having work done so scaffolding was up around the hotel. This is actually great to see that work is been done to preserve the hotel. Entertainment was good all week, bingo first then an act. We thought the men with the guitars, Chris and Ian, were great. The hotel is on a windy corner but the views are amazing! You won't be disappointed. Before going see if you can book a show at the theatre on the pier. We missed out, sadly on some brilliant acts. We even found the remains of Banksys artwork, 10 minutes walk from the hotel!

Just returned yesterday from this beautiful hotel. I cannot find fault. The hotel has been refurbished and it's a grand old building. The staff are friendly and jolly and always helpful. The housekeeping is top notch. The food is lovely and good portions with real quality ingredients. We got the impression that the staff are happy and pull together as a team. Altogether a happy crew. I spoke to several. Lots are young people who did their jobs efficiently and the service was quick and considering their were two sittings we noticed no rushing or panic in them doing the job. Thank you to the night porter...the young lady servicing our room 53... restaurant staff.... housekeeping manager..and lastly the manager. I spoke to them all and we are definitely returning later this year. Well done.

Great stay again very customer focussed had my room request and table for one in restaurant very clean bedroom meals were very good with mushrooms now added at breakfast great entertainment with Elvis tribute which all guests enjoyed Cromer lovely love my early walk along the pier seeing the sun rise
