Premier Inn Glasgow (Cumbernauld)

Came to visit family for a weekend and stayed at this hotel with my partner. Room was reasonably priced, clean and comfortable. Had a nice meal for dinner in the restaurant that night and had the cooked buffet breakfast in the morning also. Good value hotel in a good location, had a nice stay here and would stay again in future.

Perfect for an overnight stop on the way to the Highlands. Quick check in, deep bath with hot water for easing aching muscles after a long drive and a super comfy bed. Although there was good soundproofing in the rooms, I would suggest requesting a room away from the front door for a quieter night as there was a little sound from the door shutting throughout the evening. Overall though, it was excellent.

Stayed with family for a few days and have a great experience. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Ate at the restaurant a couple of times and enjoyed the experience. Overall a very good hotel with excellent staff. Would recommend this hotel as a great place to stay

We always stay in Premier Inn on family away days as we know what we are getting -this is until your get to Cumbernauld. Because we are a family of 5 we have to get 2 rooms bit of a bug bear but came to terms with it a long time ago. When we booked we called the hotel to ensure we were in adjoining rooms, the hotel confirmed we are in adjoining rooms, perfect. We arrived at the hotel, checked in and to our surprise we aren't in adjoining rooms we weren't even in rooms opposite each other. My wife went to reception and the receptionist could not have been less helpful if she tried m - rude, unhelpful literally a moody teenager and couldn't understand what the issue was. Really poor. Will move onto the condition of the room - clean as always, comfy beds, spacious can't fault it. Our issue is the appalling condition of it, paint literally flaking off the walls, bathroom was damp and covered in dust. Bin still had previous occupiers babies nappies in it, shower curtain had mould on it. Restaurant- We ended up getting a Domino's instead for dinner and then came breakfast. Walked into the restaurant to be met with an overwhelming smell of raw sewage, like the drains had backed up. When I asked the greeter what it was his party line was, smell? 🤣. It was so bad I couldn't eat and ended up standing outside whilst my wife grabbed so toast etc for the kids. All in all really disappointing from Premier Inn, will 100% not be back to Cumbernauld Premier in.

myself & my girlfriend paid £45 for a double room the night after Valentine’s. we got Room 205. we noticed just after checking in that the carpets were needing a quick runaround with a hoover on the stairs and hallways. the hotel does seem to be in dire need of a refurbishment also. our room was fine for the price. we did have some paint peeling off the walls and the television remote was taped together but was overall okay. the shower head was extremely clean - don’t know if this had just been replaced for a new one. I sleep with a medium-firm mattress at home but felt the mattress in the room was too hard/uncomfortable. I didn’t have a great sleep but my girlfriend did. we woke up to the cleaner blaring music outside our room which I thought was extremely unprofessional (you could have consideration and wear earphones if you wish to listen to music whilst on shift). there are many takeaways surrounding the hotel - Greggs, Subway, Domino’s, Burger King, Taco Bell etc. overall, wouldn’t return as we don’t like Cumbernauld as an area itself & don’t like being woken up to music if we are trying to have some form of a lie-in.

The bed was comfy, the room was quiet and the breakfast was class. However, check-in took forever, and the receptionist made an awkward, inappropriate assumption about myself and my mother which caused us to feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. Later that evening, it took 20 minutes for another receptionist to book us in for breakfast the following day. Finally, there was a long (approx 6 inches) black hair in the bath which was pretty gross. Dont think I'd stay here again, despite the reasonable price.
