Hotel Riu Touareg - All Inclusive

Grande resort in posizione isolata ( a 35 km dal paese Sal Rei ) ma su una spiaggia lunga e bianca .Tre piscine e lettini gratuiti ache in spiaggia con ombra di palme. Molta gente ma basta cercare di evitare gli orari più affollati per pranzo e cena ( il cibo è di media qualità adatto soprattutto a clientela nordica ). Ottima pulizia e cordialità del personale.

This was our 2nd time visiting the hotel. We absolutely love the hotel and Cape Verde itself. We definitely preferred going in October time as we felt this time around (June) was so very busy. We could tell as in October we could always get a sunbed at the front by the pool after breakfast time but this time of year we had to do it before as loads had already gone. Room was lovely and clean and had such a beautiful view out to the sea in block 3. The waves are too big to swim but it’s so beautiful to just sit and watch them. The staff are always so friendly and always checking in with you to make sure you’re having a good holiday. Do think the A la cart restaurants need to be waited and not buffet style to make it extra special and different from using the standard buffet restaurant. We had read lots of negative comments on facebook such as flies and bed bugs so please go with an open mind our 2nd visit to the hotel did not disappoint and I’m sure it won’t be our last visit. The hotel was beautiful. The food was lovely. The people and staff were amazing. Couldn't fault it one bit. The only issue was the plug sockets in the bedroom. We had one and it was placed in the bathroom next to the sink? However, this did not bother us. We still managed to charge our devices. The entertainment was amazing. Every night the staff really put together a good show for the week we was there. The restaurants could do with more food choices as you have to book these and could only manage to get a later at booking. The food wasn't quite up to standards in the restaurants, however the buffet was amazing. So many food choices, great flavors and amazing chefs couldn't fault the buffet. Overall the hotel is beautiful. Everything about it is lush will definitely be booking again for next year. Made some amazing friends whilst being there too so thank you for making our time enjoyable!

Mooie week in Riu Touareg Boa Vista gehad. Zeer vriendelijk personeel (kamer, receptie, bar, restaurant, ...). Hotel receptie was zeer behulpzaam en attent met gevraagde kamerverandering. Mooi hotel (imposante architectuur), zeer goed onderhouden tuinen, zwembaden. Alles erg proper. Enkele bedenkingen en tips voor verbetering: - Speciale restaurants (Boa Vista, Japans, Italiaans) zeer moeilijk te boeken: niet open op ma/di/wo, en drie dagen vooraf zit alles zo goed als vol. Jammer. - De cocktails en mocktails smaken hetzelfde (lees: geen of zeer weinig alcohol in de cocktails). - Geen redders bij de zwembaden...? - Er is echt wel controle nodig op het reserveren van zetels bij het zwembad waar mensen massaal 's ochtends, nog voor het ontbijt, een handdoek neerleggen als reservatie. Het mag niet, maar wordt blijkbaar volop getolereerd. Geen controle. Schande. - Jammer dat er geen 'aperitief entertainment' is. Tijdens het aperitieven is iedereen genoodzaakt te luisteren naar de kids disco, een eindeloze reeks irritante kinderliedjes. Waarom geen easy listening music, of zelfs live muziek (piano, ...)? - Het avond entertainment was van een erg laag niveau. Presentatie en quiz: beneden alle peil. De live band was zonder meer zwak. Playback moet kunnen, maar dan wordt wel verwacht dat de act in orde is... Bovendien stond het volume van de muziek VEEEEEEL te luid, elke avond opnieuw. De geluidskwaliteit was bovendien abominabel. Wij hebben geen enkele avondshow volledig uitgekeken. Te luid, te slecht. Jammer genoeg zijn er geen alternatieven (bv. een rustige bar met zachte live muziek?). - Jammer dat er per kamer geen twee sleutels ter beschikking zijn. Een sleutel delen is niet eenvoudig op een groot terrein waar koppels niet de hele dag door samen zijn. Riu Touareg aanraden bij vrienden? Misschien wel (ligging, hotel en kamers, tuinen, maaltijden). Misschien ook niet (zie bedenkingen boven).
