Hotel Riu Touareg - All Inclusive

Grande resort in posizione isolata ( a 35 km dal paese Sal Rei ) ma su una spiaggia lunga e bianca .Tre piscine e lettini gratuiti ache in spiaggia con ombra di palme. Molta gente ma basta cercare di evitare gli orari più affollati per pranzo e cena ( il cibo è di media qualità adatto soprattutto a clientela nordica ). Ottima pulizia e cordialità del personale.

This is not a 5-star Palatium hotel – it's 3-star at best. When we arrived, we were given a damp, musty room infested with mosquitoes and cockroaches. I was bitten multiple times before we were finally moved to a better room, but only after raising the issue with the TUI representative. She was the only positive part of our experience – extremely helpful and professional in getting us relocated. Unfortunately, the damage was already done. Why would a hotel assign guests a room in such unacceptable condition in the first place? Please see the attached photos – they speak for themselves: Damp and musty environment A mosquito nest in the toilet ceiling Cockroaches crawling across the floor Is this what you call a 5-star experience? If you're expecting true 5-star accommodation, do not book this hotel.

First time to this Resort and Hotel, what can I say wow, from the minute we walked in to minute we walked out.Stress free, calm lost for words. Paid the extra for the Adults section and fully worth the cost using the app made it so much easier, extra drinks towels etc. We found all the restaurants were fine staff really pleasant and always happy, food was great something for everyone, tried the themed restaurants a couple of nights fully worth booking. Snacks around the pool bar quite nice too. Loved the fact you leave the pool and go and get a sun lounger on the beach quite tranquil. Overall quite overwhelmed with the whole experience.

Spent a week at this hotel at the beginning of the month. My suitcase was damaged upon arrival so I kept the bus waiting about 20 mins whilst it was reported. Checkin at hotel was very quick but didn’t give us our towel cards so had to go back for them later. No arrival drink either like when we stay at RIU’s in Mexico. Had to wait till 3 o’clock for our room and was given 9262 with a lovely view over the infinity pool and beach. Room was as expected and exactly like our rooms in other RIU hotels apart from the African touches. Toilet smelt weird for the first couple of days but we just kept the door shut. Had to wear shoes at all times or our feet would be black if we didn’t, this was after they had cleaned. Beds were very comfy and aircon nice and quiet. Was disappointed that we only got given water in the fridge! Think I was expecting the same as Mexico when you get soft drinks and beer in the room didn’t realise this was in the adult only section only. Pools were fine, beach was lovely. Food was ok, we always found something to eat but it was very samey day in day out. Drinks were poor in my opinion. Only liked the sangria, mojito and Caipirinha but even they were very sugary sometimes. Best restaurant was the Italian….we loved it. Did a beach bb trip with Andrew Worthington and it was lovely and great value…highly recommend it. We knew that it was going to be a yet holiday but didn’t realise just how remote this hotel really is! I was bored after 5 days as I like to venture out on walks but was unable to here. And for that reason we wouldn’t come back here as it just wasn’t for us. Oh and we also saw 2 rooms being dismantled and sprayed leaving the doors opened for 2 days in what we can only think was for bed bugs.

Absolutely vile ! DO NOT STAY. First do not think I write unhelpful reviews as I don’t, In fact I always write positive reviews. We have visited Cape Verde numerous times and indeed stayed her in 2017 with our children and had a wonderful time. The standard of rooms and pools were great and the food was HOT AND COOKED properly. We tried to ignore the lots of negative comments we had seen. We booked this hotel because we of our previous stay. What an absolute mistake that was. Upon check in we were offered an upgrade to Adult only which in fairness was a lovely surprise being a RIU member for many years. On first glance the room was ok but very dark. The optics were never filled not a problem but added to things. The towels were disgusting and stained like a person had fake tanned. I asked for a blanket which was screwed up and had burnt cigarettes holes. Headboard had been removed I’ll let you read into that what you want. There are no doors in shower room and it’s a dark cubicle very difficult and small. And never have I had a kettle and coffee facilities in a bathroom which i had to plug in by a sink - I didn’t as too much of a safety risk. In the evening as we arrived late afternoon we went to dinner ! Well absolutely No service to your table at all regarding drinks you have to go to a pump yourself - this continues into breakfast where you have to get your own lukewarm coffee. The drinks are average and again unhappy staff. The food was absolutely freezing and inedible there were microwaves but did not want to rehear food and become very ill. We found the smaller restaurant for dinner on second night- by this time I had just toast. Also the chef was walking around with a cloth trying to swat flies. The fridges! We’re absolutely falling apart. I had cold pizza. Breakfast was no better lukewarm milk so again toast. We had had enough and after 2 days to cut a very long story short we paid extra and a cab fare to change hotels to our amazing one we stayed in last year ! We should have booked this in the first place,
