This beautifully converted old ottoman house is a real haven in one of my favourite parts of one of my favourite cities. Wonderful rooms round an open courtyard and lovely staff. Loved the breakfast and lots of restaurants in area for dinner. Only thing missing was an espresso machine but I am promised one is coming!

Beit Zafran is een prachtig hotel met een rijke architectuur. Je wordt er behandeld met Arabische gastvrijheid. De service was goed, de aandacht die je krijgt voor specifieke wensen was van uitstekende kwaliteit. We hebben door de ontvangen tips een prachtig vervolg gehad van onze reis in Syrië, een land dat een verborgen parel is. Damascus is de moeite meer dan waard en met mijn dochter hebben we ons er welkom en zeer veilig gevoeld.

wonderful hotel, the staff is super helpful and friendly. they gave us advise where to go and took the time to do so. i can’t stress enough to go to this hotel! the breakfast is delicious and they give a lot of options, and the server was really polite. when sitting outside to chill a little cold water was brought to you.

Beautiful high ceiling rooms, peaceful courtyard. Decor is amazing. Location is an ideal base for walking around Old City. Staff was very helpful. Good wifi.

The Beit Zafran in the heart of Damascus' old town is an oasis, a little paradise. With great attention to detail, the rooms (I was able to see others besides our own) are furnished to a high standard, allowing you to feel and enjoy the proverbial Arab hospitality. The service is also unobtrusive, attentive, and very courteous. I have seen other boutique hotels in Damascus and stayed in two others, but Beit Zafran is the most beautiful in my opinion.

I had the pleasure of touring Syria earlier this month and staying at the Beit Zafrán was a real treat! The staff is wonderful, the courtyard charming and both the rooms I stayed in (beginning and end of trip) were delightful. I suspect that all rooms are as individual and beautiful as the two I tried. The hotel is well located in a quiet corner of the old city. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I stayed there for 12 nights on a work trip. It was a lovely experience and at times I felt I was transported back in time. The staff was amazing, always available to help with things, but never intrusive. The rooms were tastefully decorated; price and location were also good.
