The receptionist is awesome, she gave us all instructions for good restaurants and the public transportation to go to the attractions. The location is great. But they don’t offer real towels, just disposable towels.

What a great room. The service is great, hostesses are responsive and kind. The room was clean and luminous, and the best was soft, we both slept very well. We enjoyed the table at breakfast and at dinner. We highly recommend you to chose this hotel.

Excellent stay and location near Datong ancient city wall with a lot of food options nearby (must try the sliced noodles, local specialty). Great place to rest after visiting all of the nearby attractions and walking all day. The room is very clean, spacious, bright and well equipped. Additional bonus is that you don’t have to carry a key around since the doors are equipped with combination locks that are customized for your stay. I recommend this hotel and would return on a future trip. Note: There is no front desk or reception and the rooms are spread out in a large multi-story building. Make sure to get in contact with the hotel once you arrive and the manager will meet you at the lobby and take you to your room. If you don’t speak Chinese, having a translation app is also useful.

Very good hotel, new room and good facilities. Everything is modern and very efficient. Not far from the old city, within walking distance (1.5km). I highly recommend this accommodation and even owner are very nice

Good, clean, comfortable, 10 minutes walk from the ancient walls. The center is in the northern side, so you will need to walk other 10 minutes, it's a nice walk. Easily reachable from the south train station

We had a pleasant stay at Xinyue homestay. A bit hard to find at first, but once you find it and get in touch with the receptionist, everything is fine. The receptionist and her colleague were very helpful trying to meet our needs. The building looks a bit sketchy from the outside but the rooms are clean and top notch. Some of them even have a laundry machine. The little downside is that they provide disposable towels which are too thin and small to wipe off all the water after a shower. Nevertheless, I would recommend this place and would probably stay there again.

We had a great stay in Datong and the apartment was very nice, quite big and very clean. It was a little bit of a search when getting to the accommodation. Best to reach out beforehand, they are very communicative! The location is fine, close to restaurants, malls, public transport and the walled city. I did not like the disposable towels.. Using a towel once and throwing it out instead of washing it? Seems old fashioned and not sustainable. Overall a good stay and a great view!

The room was very clean and with all amenities needed. The service was very nice and people were super polite. The location is good, it is not in the ancient city but you can easily reach it by bus in 10 minutes or walking about 20-30 minutes. The price/quality ratio was great! Highly recommended!

The location is perfect, right in the city centre, they personnel is also nice. The cons are that the water pressure is really really low, it makes it very hard to take shower.

Nice place, Nice location; you can walk to the Ancient town, I took along time to catch nice scene along the city wall, park and canal. To get the hotel from Datong South Railway Station by bus no.31 from the bus station side(the area is connected), take around 30 minutes to get there (Yungang Jianguo hotel, the hotel is opposite, only 2 CNY, many food and minimart around there. There is Muslim food there if need(next to the entrance of C(behind the building). Nice service, self check-in, clean room and relaxing. the owner, you should to contact the owner before arrive, she so friendly and always help you, she suggested us about the famous local food and restaurants(Thank you so much). If you need to buy some necessary item and cannot buy at the around minimart, you can walk to the Yonghui Superstore by East side (the next junction) turn right to Yuhe West rd. (At the corner). From the hotel tobget Yungang Grottoes, you can take bus no. 31 (Yungang Jianguo side), get off at Shi Li Dian Cun Xi ( West Shilidian village), cross to another side and catch bus no.12 to the terminal stop(is Yungang Grottoes. Take 1 hour or 1.30 to get there.
