I'm originally from Dayton, Ohio and actually went to high school two blocks from this location. I"ve known the building that the hotel is now in since I was a kid. So it was great to know that Hilton bought it and saved the building. In doing so they've created QUITE a beautiful hotel in a prime location of Downtown Dayton. I opted for the King Room with Theater View category of room. During check-in I was able to pick my own room on the Hilton app which is great. So my room was on the 6th floor facing The Victoria Theater just across the street. The room was SO nice, clean and well-appointed. Everything of course was brand new since the hotel has only been open for just over three months at the time of this review. I attached pictures of the entire room. Valet parking was $22 a night. You can opt for the in/out parking across the street but it's $16 dollars each time you enter and leave (the front desk gives a sticker to get out and they do the charging of the parking). But going in and out of that parking garage a couple times a day could cost you. With the valet parking you can come and go as much as you want. The ONLY complain I have was the EXTREMELY noisy a/c unit in the room. What's funny is on the bedside table they left ear plugs. When I first arrived I thought it was odd but now I know why. It was REALLY irritating and I'm someone who sleeps with a fan but this was ridiculous. So I didn't really sleep that well at first but once asleep I was fine. In closing, this will definitely be my new hotel of choice when I go home to Dayton. It's convenient to downtown and one can walk pretty much everywhere. Can't wait to return!

The hotel is nicely soon the corner. It is decorated nicely. The staff friendly; especially the valets. There was also a very friendly server that we had for breakfast. The rooms are nicely decorated but so small, especially the bathroom. I stayed 3 nights and had one hot shower. The first night it trickled down warm water. No issue with cold. It was late so I decided to deal with is Saturday. I spent Saturday and early Sunday trying to track down someone. I used the chat system, called the front desk multiple times with no answer, went to the front desk multiple times only to find no one. Finally Sunday late morning, a live person answered the phone. The issue was fixed on my last night. Also, on check in, I was told there were no room upgrades available. The woman after me was an “influencer”. Well, she was upgraded, and given free meals. I guess they pick and choose the guests they want to favor. I won’t return.

Kendra took excellent care of me at the restaurant. She knew I was in a hurry and was absolutely wonderful. Kylie is an absolute gem, attentive and personable. My only complaint is the shampoo/conditioner/bodywash setup in room 1013. Why are they attached to the sink instead of in the shower? No one wants to get in and out of a nice warm shower to get the products used in the shower. Other than that the room was wonderful. I did not meet her but Nicole had it neat and tidy.

Aidan was awesome glad he was there. The front desk was amazing as well. Delilah was very accommodating to our needs and expressed her sincerity in taking care of our own mistake when making our reservation. Thank you!!! Also the housekeeping staff has got to be the best around!

Delilah was amazing! The only complaint I had, was we went down to the bar to have dessert and a drink, and the whole bar was emptied, but reserved so we couldn’t sit down. We ended up ordering dessert at the restaurant to take to our room, and we got all the way back up to our room, got into pajamas, and realized that they never gave us silverware. So we ended up not eating the dessert. Everything else was clean and great.

This amazing lady, Delilah, checked us in. She started our stay off, perfect. The rest of the staff was great also but we did go down to the restaurant to get desert and a drink but we couldn't sit at the bar because it was all reserved. I have never been to a bar where seats at the bar were reserved. We were in room 310 and the showerhead needs to be replaced but everything else was perfect.

We had the absolute best time the Hotel Ardent! Such a beautiful hotel that showcases the best of our local culture. The staff treated us like royalty, despite being extremely busy (a great sign!) We will absolutely be back, thank you Delilah, Evan, and team for welcoming us and taking such good care of our family!

The hotel was lovely and beautifully finished, and perfectly located for a short walk to the Sinclair Conference Center. Delilah at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful, and the rest of the staff was delightful! Would highly recommend!

The hotel accommodations were very nice and the staff was friendly. We were in town for a basketball tournament, and arrived at the hotel about five minutes before the restaurant closed. Delilah, from the front desk, was instrumental and making sure that we were taken care of and felt welcome. She went above and beyond and we appreciate her! If we’re back in Dayton, we will return.
