Dearborn Inn, Autograph Collection

Grandparents wanted to stay here because of the hotel's rich history. When we came to pick them up from the hotel, an older gentleman, very sharply dressed, greeted us and welcomed us. My two cousins went inside to get my family members. This man is called "J". He spent time talking with my cousins. The next thing I see is him tying their ties for them. They were wearing new suits, and "J" even helped open the pockets on the suit jacket and assisted them in placing the pocket square inside their suit jackets. I could not believe the time and patience he took with both of these young men to help them. I have stayed at many hotels all over the world, and I have never seen such kindness toward guests of any hotel. This man must be a manager to be able to spend so much time assisting any guest who enters. My grandparents told me that he always opens the door for people coming in and out. I know why this place is an Autograph hotel because of the personal touch that Mr J provides. I want to thank him and the staff of the Dearborn Inn for taking care of my grandparents. I now know why they want to stay here whenever we are in Michigan. Phenomenal job and well done!

Our stay at the Dearborn Inn was exquisite. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was more than ample and came with a large walk-in shower. Breakfast was tasty; the service excellent. Michael, who we encountered at the front desk, was very, very, helpful. He recommended restaurants, shared interesting information about the hotel, and was a delightful person. Hannah also provided excellent service. I would stay at the Dearborn Inn again.

While the property is stunning, hotel management does not provide elite benefits as required by the Marriott Bonvoy program terms. The program terms clearly state: The Member plus one guest staying in the same room receives access to the Concierge/Executive/Delta Pantry/Club/Signature Club/M Club lounge (collectively, “Lounge” or “Lounge Access”) during normal hours of operations at…Autograph Collection….This benefit only applies to the one (1) guest room in which the Platinum Elite Member is staying. In the United States and Canada: When a Participating Property's Lounge is closed, or property does not have a Lounge or approved alternative, the property will offer a daily continental breakfast in the restaurant for the Member plus one (1) guest, or Member can choose 750 Points per night of Stay. This benefit is in addition to the welcome gift for elite members, which is $10 food and beverage credit or 1,000 points. The Dearborn Inn doesn’t have a lounge so Platinum and Titanium elite members plus a guest are entitled to continental breakfast in the hotel restaurant, or 750 points, each day of the stay. However, the hotel management is cheap and just offers Platinum members items from the Pantry. Just select another hotel.
