Less Than One Block from the Beach!!! This beautifully designed custom cottage home is located in Crystal beach has more upgrades than you can imagine. You will enjoy all the comforts of home as well as the beach less than a block from your front door and in the opposite direction lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance as well!
Nothing was spared in designing this home. Accented with Bamboo Flooring and Wainscoting throughout the home, Bay Windows, Recessed Lighting, Granite Counter Tops, Stainless Steel Appliances, a Dual Fuel Stove/Oven, Built in Desk, Gas Fireplace as well as a custom-built Murphy Bed in the first-floor bedroom.
HUGE Covered Porches in the Front and Back of the Home, In Ground Pool, and Stacking Glass Doors that lead to the Covered Back Porch overlooking the Pool. The pool is heat able for cooler months for a fee!
There is parking for 4 vehicles and a large fenced in back yard to enjoy.
Our community: Crystal Beach promotes cottages, rather than high rises, to capture the Old Florida Community feeling. We suggest walking to the corner Bistro (Camille's), sit on the veranda, read the paper and enjoy a relaxing breakfast and cup of coffee while watching the morning joggers pass by.
While at the beach, try one of their smoothies or return in the evening for some of the finest Sushi or seafood in Destin. There are also many beautiful golf courses within 5 miles of your vacation home. You will also enjoy Dolphin watching, jogging and just sitting at the beach to soak in the beauty of the emerald waters as well as the spectacular sunsets. If you enjoy shopping, then you will be able to shop till you drop! Destin Commons is only 2 minutes away.
or you can find several treasures at the Silver Sands outlet mall. It is billed as the world's largest Designer Outlet! And please take time to explore Hwy 30A with all of their quaint shops as well as the shops of San Destin
What to do besides enjoy our wonderful beach...: Should you wish to explore what the local area has to offer; you'll find an abundance of choices. Sidewalks line scenic 98 for walking, running or bike riding. We are a short 2–5-mile drive to the Silver Sands mall to the West, or luxury shopping at Destin Commons to the East. Kenny D's, The Crab Trap, and Pompano Joe's are all within walking distance to Cayenne Cottage. We encourage you to leave menus of your favorite restaurants when you come. For evening entertainment, Destin is known for some wonderfully upscale eateries, as well as your regular fare. Friendly night life and nearby state of the art movie theater. Great shopping can be found at the Destin Commons outdoor mall. Enjoy such great stores as Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor Loft, Banana Republic, Belk, Books-A-Million & Maui Nix Surf Shop to rattle off a few. Stop for a bite to eat at the Hard Rock Café, Panera Bread, Tony’s Ristorante or Sushi Siam.
More than just shopping: The Destin Commons Center Plaza offers a soft-play kids' playground and a 49-head pop fountain. Community activities and entertainment are held through the year at Destin Commons. Rave Motion Pictures is also housed at Destin Commons.
Baytown Wharf at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resorts offers wonderful dining and specialty stores as well as great festivals & events that are held at the Market Shops Green or the Center Plaza within the Village.
Grande Boulevard offers stores such as Billabong, Brooks Brothers Country Club, Coldwater Creek, J. Crew-at-the-beach, Sunglass Hut, & Tommy Bahama's Emporium as well as great dining at Tommy Bahama’s, Fleming’s, Cantina Laredo (If you dine here sit outside to enjoy the fountain!) & Mitchell’s Fish Market.
The Silver Sands Outlet Mall is a vacation in it’s own right for shoppers you will have access to over 100 stores. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this property in Destin Beach, Florida, and it was absolutely wonderful. Everything about the experience exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was relaxing, the amenities were well-kept, and the property itself was beautifully maintained.The pool was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the Florida sunshine. Every detail seemed thoughtfully taken care of, which made the stay feel effortless and comfortable.What stood out most was how seamless and enjoyable the entire visit was. From start to finish, everything felt welcoming and refreshing. I left feeling completely relaxed and happy, and I can confidently say I’ll be coming back again.Truly a wonderful experience — highly recommended!

Family Vacation/Softball Nationals 2025
Nice house! Great location! Only beef was the long grass, the pocket doors within the house, were a little stiff, and we could have used more bath towels (even with the laundry). We definitely made memories! Thank you for this opportunity!

Loved this beautiful home. Only 5 minute walk to the beach. We had a group of 8 with a 16 year old being the youngest. We all fit comfortably on the beds. Open concept kitchen fully stocked. Pots and pans could use a little upgrade due to wear but overall good. Living room has new couches. Restrooms came with towels and travel shampoo and soap! Beautiful pool in the backyard to relax. When we arrived I couldn’t pull up my email to get the code to access the house so I called the number and was graciously surprised I didn’t get an answering machine I got a real person who helped me get in in less than 5 minutes. Very responsive property owners. We took 2 vehicles, a truck and a large SUV, which fit well in the horseshoe shaped driveway. Very helpful having a horseshoe driveway since the house is on a main street. Getting our SUV out of the driveway was a little challenging it was a bit narrow with the white picket fencing in the front but overall we made it work. The property is located very conveniently from Walmart, Ulta, shopping and restaurants! Would stay here again and would definitely recommend this home to your family.

Summer beach trip (baseball tournament)
We had a great stay at the property. Photos can sometimes be misleading, but we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival—the interior was clean, spacious, and exactly as pictured.The main master bed could use an update, though it wasn’t uncomfortable. My son absolutely loved the Murphy bed in the downstairs bedroom. A few extra blankets and some beach towels would be a nice addition, especially for guests flying in.The pool was a great bonus, and the beach access is conveniently close, as is Camille’s Restaurant.The only area that could use some improvement is the backyard landscaping—it felt a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of the home.Overall, if we find ourselves in Destin again, we would definitely choose to stay here again.

Annual Destin Summer Vacation
Overall, the house is nice with decent sized bedrooms and bathrooms. The place needs updating both inside and outside. The porch furniture is very dirty with moldy seat cushions, needs new landscaping around the house and especially in the pool area. Weeds are growing through the cracks around the pool. The refrigerator ice machine is broken so we bought bags ofnice all week. We were given a bag of ice upon arrival. The location is amazing though!!! Super short walk to the beach!

Our stay
Everything was great the house was as pictured and the pool was great for the kids. The house is a short walk to the beach. We loved the back porch. The only thing I wish they had was a laminated check out list with the things we needed to do before we left and the day of trash pickup because I couldn't find it anywhere in the rental agreement and we missed it.
