Breakers East #404

This was my first time booking a unit through VRBO and it was a hit!! I love the Breakers East because of the size and view!! You get a beachfront view and our condo is was very clean! I had no complaints! The people at the condo were very nice and it’s a great place to stay!

Everything about this property was amazing! We booked through Vrbo and the pictures are perfect - there is no special lighting or angles! The condo looks exactly as advertised. We requested (and paid for) early check-in via a quick phone call a few weeks in advance and our code worked for the door at 1 PM CT as promised. No lines or otherwise waiting for check-in! The condo smelled extremely clean when we opened the door and minus some sand on the floor (to be expected at a beach getaway), it was extremely clean! We had plenty of space in the kitchen and each bedroom and bathroom. There is TONS of storage in each bedroom and bathroom and plenty of clean towels. The kitchen is stocked with every gadget imaginable and the views from the balcony were unbelievable. We did not have any issues during our stay, but the property manager was very prompt to respond whenever we sent a text message. We checked out through a simple text message as well. My husband was able to easily walk to Dunkin for coffee and donuts! We also made plenty of Publix runs with relative ease. The beach never felt crowded even though it was spring break and the pool was definitely heated! We hope to make this a property that we return to year after year!

We have been traveling for 50 years. This is the most expensive & poorly maintained property we have experienced. The carpets were filthy & worn. We had ants. All the metal in the bathroom was rusty. We listened to a jackhammer for a week. Our friends left earlier than we did & went home. I could fill a page with complaints. They did have nice help. We rented it for a month, but we moved to a wonderful place down the beach & paid again. The description was nothing like the condo we stayed in. We will never again rent a condo in Destin unless we know someone who has experienced it. Let the buyer beware!

Stayed in condo 606 booked via southern vacations stay away from them gave me a room with non functioning washer and dryer roaches and smelled I asked for refund and reported them to BBB they knew washer did not work and still rented condo to me

This place is run down,dirty floors in bathsrooms,When arived have waterhose out the front door,hanging down 2 floors had to get them to remove it, had water all on floor,they wipe up not very well,one of the elevators was broken and the one that did work was very slow.Room had a meldew smell. Will charge you for things after you,leave DON NOT STAY HERE.
